It's true. People are pathetic. It kind of makes me glad I don't have a valuable car.
Keying is one thing -- but last weekend my boss had his company vehicle stolen from a casino parking lot, and found torched the next day, minus it's wheels and tires. There was about $6000 of collectibles fresh from an auction -- antique signs and brochures -- in plain sight in the back seat, left to burn by the clueless thieves.

Don't feel bad. 2 weeks ago, my exgirlfriend took a key allllll the way down the side of my 02 cav. The following week (this week), someone broke into it while I was at work and stole my in dash screen, cd player, navigation system, iPod, iHome, subs, 6x9's, amp, my current girl's iPod, a six pack of Ale8's, and two Phillies. Absolutely heartbreaking. Especially with the loss of the Ale's and the Phillies. Har har. Sucks man. People have no respect. I can relate to your issue all too easily. Godspeed.

ya I don't get it either...someone keyed my car before too...a bone stock black sunfire with a nice deep scratch all along one quarter panel...
now you have an excuse to do some modding before going in for a re-paint.

same thing happened to my old cavi..wheels were still on it tho, spent almost a year shavin it, dropin it, wheels bc2 kit and nice a$$ paint... all for nothing! people get stupid when they want what they cant have
