Well for about 2 years I've been a "lurker" here pretty much. My (soon to be ex, thank god...) wife has a 2002 Sunfire and she and I were getting into modding our cars. For the past couple years my car has been a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT...however because of financial reasons I have to sell it.
So, here's my new car, a 1998 Sunfire GT...these pics are actually from the AutoTrader ad itself:
91,000 miles, 5 speed, power everything...and I'm getting it for $3350, which from what I've found is a pretty good deal. While I'm not totally thrilled to be selling my Spyder, I am quite pleased with the new car, and once I've dug myself out of the financial hole I'm in right now, I definitely plan to mod the @!#$ out of the Sunfire - either the GM supercharger or a custom turbo kit (don't you think just a bit of FMIC peeking out from behind the bumer in that 4th pic would look so perfect?), full suspension, etc...but as far as what you really see, it'll probably stay about that way. Probably new wheels (17" most likely), maybe a new spoiler (I like the Wings West one but it doesn't seem I see it all that often...maybe part of the reason I like it),
maybe a carbon fiber hood. But in general I think the Sunfires look pretty sharp as is, especially the GT.
So, uhh...yeah. Here I am, and I'll probably be around quite a bit
And if anyone's interested in my 2001 Eclipse Spyder GT, I'm asking $10,500. It has I/H/E, KYB-AGX shocks and Tein S-Techs, plus a number of other mods. It's listed in my profile. E-mail me if you happen to be interested...
nice lookin car what are your plans?

Not quite 100% sure yet - I mean the car isn't even parked in my driveway yet, I'll probably be picking it up on Tuesday. I'd lean more towards the turbo route if it wasn't for the fact that the GM supercharger just looks like such a nice clean install. And as far as the suspension goes, I'm a little torn between whether to go with a lowering spring/shock combination or if I should go for a coilover.
I think a black wheel with a polished lip would look hot on this car - visually, like I said, wheels are the most likely thing I'd do. Besides that, I really am more into performance - I was starting to get into autocross with my Spyder, so I'll probably try to get the suspension stuff done first so I might have a fighting chance. We'll see.
Sounds like you have some good idea's for it. I hope to see more of it on here.
