I just finished installing my new 2.5" exhaust setup yesterday. I can definitely feel a performance difference compared to the 2.25" setup that I had on there. It pulls a heck of a lot harder up top. Eventually I'll pick up an LSJ header and fab up a 2.5" downpipe, but I'm in no rush to do that. This was pretty much my last mod for the car for a while. I'll be graduating in May with a BS in accounting so I really need to focus my attention on finding a job.
Here's what the setup consists of:
Pacesetter Header
Magnaflow cat (94036)
26" Thrush resonator
2.5" piping from Willy at Custom Tubes Inc
Apexi WS Muffler
I had originally planned on going with a dynomax super turbo muffler again, but something inside of me inspired me to spend entirely too much money for a muffler. After listening to endless amounts of soundclips, I decided on the Apexi WS. It sounded awesome on damn near every car I heard it on. It's very quiet at idle (once the car warms up) and when cruising. It's got a very unique sound when you get on it, its not whiney at all. Its very deep sounding all the way to redline. Hopefully I should be able to get a video of that tomorrow, I'll be out in Atglen, PA doing Jcaff's exhaust for his 99 z24

I have about 250 miles on the setup right now, if the weather warms up later I'll try and get some better exhaust vids

I have a dynomax st to replace my raspy ass pacesetter muffler on my ps catback, just need to find a nice tip. Thats prolly the nicest looking apexi muffler Ive seen, most of them are big fart cans.

something shifted in my previous exhaust setup and the tip came in contact with the bumper. it melted the crap out of the bumper and the edge of the lip

i got the resonator and cat from summitracing.com, the 2.5" piping from customtubesinc.com, and the insanely expensive apexi muffler from racinglab.com
exhaust look great, that is a great muffler, id love to get the NOIR version of it.
