So Brad was all ready to weld in the new mounts that I had made (yes the new mounts can be ordered) and didn't the welder decide to break, only got a few tacks on the front mount before it was done. Now I get to take another 2 hours screwing around with the hoist and engine to make sure everything is lined up again tomorrow night.
I love working on my car but this kind of stuff pisses me off. Anyone else have stories of how things just didn't go the way they should?

Put my new wheels on today and guess what! A stupid stud was stripped because the dumn as at the dealership over tightened them! It seems like every project I do something goes wrong! So your not alone
yea i do ...ok mabe not that bad..
i bought a new "USED" 2002 z24. Suppose to pick it up this past tuesday, it needs a new block. I was ready to use my friends tow dolly, then realizes it isnt reg.. so now i have to weight for sat . and will end up renting a trailor .. towing the car 200 mile ..
I went to drive my car to my GF's to store it for a while and my wheel came off doing 80 and now i need all new bodywork for the entire car.
yeah there was this one time i bought a 96 z24, and well its still my worst irritating problem.
ac lines that hook into the firewall FTL. i had the problem of not being able to get that damn thing off yesterday and well.. just pisses me off cuz i have a nice brand new polished one to put on.
If you think that is dumb, I got one that tops them all. I was chaning my oil the other day and I forgot to put the dip stick back in place, so ... driving about 200 - 300 miles before I went to go look under my car and it was still there, right where I left it. Oil was everywhere, I just hope I didn't lose too much

Yup, nature of the beast I guess. It would be nice though to be able to do a project from start to finnish without any stupid issues. We got the welder fixed this morning so we are going to mount the engine tonight.

Custom Rides = Custom problems. If you add change or delete something it will have an effect on something else....
It's ok. Now all you need a is a new Timmies coffee.
3500$ worth of body kit, and custom paint...2 months down the road...accident causing another 2250$ in damage.,,tell me that doesnt suck? lol

lol...yeah there is always someone stopping by the shop with fresh timmies, somedays I get 7 or 8 of them.
We got the engine all mounted up the other night, only thing left is to build a rear tranny mount and to gusset everything up to make it strong. Ordered another $3k worth of parts yesterday for it, the only thing left to buy is the Quaife LSD which should be ordered in another few weeks. I will post up some pics later on when I get out to the shop, only another month and a half and I will be back on the road...starting to get excited.
