Looks okay.
You'll probably want to use a mold release in the future to allow the piece to come off of the foil easier. If you ever have to add any filler/fiberglass to the back of it, you'll need to remove the foil.
Also, keep in mind that, by taking a mold from the top or bottom, it will come out slightly larger/smaller than the original. Expect to put some effort into getting it to fit properly.

looks like a pretty good attempt man!! good work. cant really tell by the pics, but it appears theres very few layers of mat. that would be my only suggestion. i know it was just an attempt to practice, but if u ever wanna use those pieces id thicken them up a lil bit.

the practice piece only had two layers on it. i wasn't gonna go to far with. as far as the mold coming out slightly larger/smaller, i didn't think about that till after i took it off the original piece. the mold release is a plus. that foil was a pita to get off. anyways, thanks for the comments and advice. I'll post more pics. of the final piece later today.
