Funny you should refer to the stock equipment as a "damn RC antenna" -- I've always looked at those shortie 8" antennas and thought of the radio stumps you get on things like baby monitors and pre-school RC toys. You know - the applications where the're afraid a kid will break something. Those ones are floppy, though. At least yours is hard.

I just took mine off and cut it off and rounded the tip on it...
It needs a little ball on top to steady it, but looks so much better then the 3 foot one.
yeh i like my 8"er everytime i see a stock cavalier sized antenna(like ur first pic) it looks weird..
if that's 8 inches hard, i guess my car has E.D.

i cut mine and put and endcap for vacuum lines on the end of it?

i had one of those before... but since i live in the hills the radio reception wasnt good at all. so i sadly sold it (to an org member) and put the stock back on.....
looks good though!! maybe once i move to indy, i'll see about getting another 8"er.

mine says Sirius on it.......and its in my back window... hmmm.....
and theres some metal there where the factory antenna used to be.

I bought a 10" one on eBay... if you live in the country at all, reception sucks balls, period... in the city its fine. And you still havent done anything with that BC2 yet?

Actually my reception is the same. I drove to work and to downtown LA today and not 1s did I lose reception.

Lol. This is what you do when ur bored. The bc2 is going to sit there till after july because im going to Japan and I need all the money I could save. Maybe ill find a toyo cav out there. Who knows lol
