hes in the middle of a swap right now but the car is away at the body shop so when it comes back hes finishing that one and getting it outta the way and then finishing mine up

Yeah, right now Im in the middle of 2 swaps, this one and a Turbo charged Ecotec into a 98 Z. Im also changing the Z from auto to manual. I started that car first, welded in the manual mounts, mocked up the turbo system then took it all out again and sent it off to get the body work and interior done. While that car is gone, I am built the eco with pistons, rods and headstuds. Got that all done and started with this swap, when the Z comes back though, I will put this one aside till the Z is done, thats why I am setting an april date for completion.

Yeah, those are the mounts from a 2000+ getrag 5 speed.
how far you move the front and back mounts?
I didnt move em, they werent there before, i welded them in and got rid of the auto mount.

someone had done the swap into a 2nd gen, the car was rotted, bought the car as a parts car to part out as well as for the motor to pull and put into my car

Im the guy in green in those pics. Test fitting will be next week, then weld in the mounts, and start wiring. I will keep posting pics as I go.

Correction Nick, I started the harness a while ago
Right now, I have it mounted with an old Isuzu I had lying around. This way I can have it exactly where i need it to make the dogbone bracket. Once that is done, I can weld in the new rear mount for the getrag and relocate the hole on the front and know that it is mounted exactly where it needs to be. Me or Nick will keep posting pics as I go along.
