it says all motor high 13's cavalier, PSSSSH i only see 14.004

Well, I went to Waterfest in Englishtown last summer and let me tell you, the runs I saw, pretty much sucked d*ck.

Jay on the org here is running mid 13's in his stock turbo beetle. So yea I know it can be done, it's very driver dependent. I see alot of the VW guys with 2.4 60's. Highest stock turbo hp ive seen was just north of 250whp with ALOT of mods and it was putting a TON of stress on the stock turbo, but it has been done.If 250whp wont give you 13s in a 2900-3,000 lb car nothing will

i'm pretty sure jerseyjay is on a ko4 sport or something like that.. its not the stock turbo.. its an oem plus deal
the kid i raced was on the stock turbo with higher boost.. an N75 valve, 3" dp and exhaust EIP chip and some other crap I think
I didn't want to do this but jarret (the kid in the ion and the camerman in the VW) egged me into it saying that the kid that owns the jetta had a cav once and said the skwirl 'ain't got @!#$' so i told him "I'm putting on the DRs now..." lol
it was a fun night.. I was surprised how bad I got him from the traffic light, but thats because i weigh less and had better traction.. but he still couldn't chase me down all the way up to around.. 110mph =X

my brother had an 02 beedle sport with the 2.0 turbo in it-spose to have been a really rare car made from VW's performance team or something-he did some sort of a stock mod that was spose to up the boost 2psi, and he had a megan racing downpipe and a muffler.
the following cars walked all over it:
my 97 z24 that ran a best of 15.4
03 nissan se-r specV with exhuast
00 z28 camaro by over 10 cars
and i cant remember the others, but i know he hardly ever won a race. and i even tried driving it and it was just as slow-and i know i can drive well, so... it was SLOW.
also, when i dynoed my 97z24 there was a jetta turbo there dynoing his at the same time, had a neuspeed computer, intake... and a full exhuast... as well as some other upgrades and my car only put down 20whp less than his and mine was N/A.
and to top it off... i know its not much of a deal, but i blew away an older n/a jetta 5spd with a few mods with my heavy-ass n/a 98 Z auto car... that thing was blowing the tires off trying to keep up, but in the end i got him by like 3 cars-mind you my car had 17's, and a VERY heavy stereo in it as well-his car was gutted.
IMO i just dont understand what the deal with VW but it seems to me that their cars are just SLOW and really dont put out much power.

the stock turbo on the v dubs is like the size of an apple.. that might have something to do with it lol
my buddy has a gti and minimal mods to the engine, ran mid 14s.. he upped the stock boost to like 15psi tho
