Well...
I did my next exterior mod... B-pillars!
Im sorry to dissapoint you though, its not a real Carbon Fiber...even though it looks almost real and impressive... Stock b-pillars were completely faded away and it looked crap and I wanted to fix that and came up with a cheap way of doing it since I want to use the money elsewhere for the time being...
Here are the pics to explain how I did em...
I hope they will last me for quite a while... and Im thinking of adding clear coat to them so they'd last longer. So tell me what you think guys? Yay or Nay?

how do you get the b pillar off?

Its easy...
Just pull the weather stripping off between the window and B-pillars and you'll see three screws on the inside... Unscrew all 3 and slowly pull it up and sideways out.

Its found in the ricer aisle at the local auto parts store.
I made a set of autocross #'s out of that and magnetic sheets from the craft store.
Sweet.....now you can open the door faster since it is so light weight!!!!!
Careful that you don't break the door hinges now since you are used to opening a heavy door.
thats awesome. adding it to my summer project. can i find that vinyl stuff at autozone or adv auto parts?
LOL, Thanks for the comments guys... and VERY FUNNY @ SonicZ.
Anyways, for those who asked where I got em... I got them from Checkers Auto Store (in Arizona where I live) and Im not sure about any other autostore though, but I did a search for the product and I found em on checkers website and u can order for them online if you cant find anything better...
Its a TrimBrite brand and part number is T1850.

We sell it at Advance Auto. and i kno that pep boys sells it also. i was impressed when i saw it, cause most of the fake stuff looks like ass.

i'd add a couple coats of clear if u can, make it look more realistic and prolly last longer.. dunno if the clear would keep it from fading quicker or not tho...
Thanks for the comments again and about the clear coat... is there a place where I can buy a paint of UV ray protection before applying clear coat? Just thought I'd ask.
I will make a quick post on how to remove the weather stripping and removing the B-pillars tonight for those who doesnt know how to do it...

lol I couldn't help but laugh at that comment. Other than that I think it looks pretty good.
UPDATE!!!!
After a couple of days observing how my b-pillar is holding out in the weather, DONT BOTHER doing this mod. It started to make bubbles from under it all over the B-pillar. Its not worth the mod. I made sure there was no bubbles when i applied it but it still came up somehow. So, Dont do it, if you havent done it. Just get the B-pillar repainted or undercoat it.
Sorry for the waste of this whole thread.
