Well I got a present today a couple days early of course. Seems that another driver needed to occupy the same amount of space I did. Fortunately the police sited her and so that is a good thing. Happened at GLC on the back drive by Steak and Shake, apparently you aren't supposed to go straight.
Anyways, onto the carnage:
Parts List:
Both fenders
Hood
Bumper assembly (includes support and impact bar
Drivers headlight
Windshield
Both air bags and controller
Drivers seat belt
Black B-pillar cover on door (blown off when windows opened)
Lots of Orange Paint
It didn't reach the rad or intercooler so I did get lucky there.
No idea what I am going to do right now, whether it will be fixed or totalled is up to the insurance company on Tuesday.
dude that blows i feel sorry for ya
trust me that won't be totaled, that's not bad you got very lucky
Man that sucks. Glad to see everything is fixable though. You goin with Sport bumpers or like the ones you had? Good luck, your car has always been one of my favs on here
I love that car..
I doubt it gets totalled and i hope that it gets fixed quickly
.
.
That sucks man, make sure you get that s/c if they decide to total it.

Its going to be totalled because the airbags deployed. If I were you I would buy it back from the insurance company. Their going to want like 1500 for it, if that.

It will be close, the car has LOTS of miles on it....
Sorry to see that dude, but yeah, if totalled I'd buy it back, wouldn't take much to repair it yourself, especially if you have a buddy working in the paint and body field.
I have a spare graphite pass. airbag cover if needed, not much, but it is something I have laying around.
It will def be close on totalling it... But i don't think it will be, but if it is def buy it back from the insurance company. It could be an easy fix.
Sorry to see it happen tho
2004 Turbo cavalier 11PSI and blown!
Sorry to see that Paul. Good luck with insurance on it. Maybe I'll see you around for next year's SCCA events.
Its probably totaled
If you do get the S/C kit off it can i buy it from you?
unfortunately its a cavalier and when you blow the air bags 8times out of 10 it will total, hope it all works out for ya
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
Prolly will be totaled. Mine was a 2005 (3mos old at the time of accident) with 9k on the clock. Totaled it, but mine did have a little core support damage.

I thought you could go straight there.... HHMMM
Sucks about your car man! How did your windshield get cracked like that?
His air bag cracked the windshield...
sorry to hear about that man, i know it wasnt much but glad your ok....and if it does get totaled buy it back
thats poopy paul.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear it.
If it does get totaled, pm me about the
Front and Rear Strut Tower Braces
RK Sport Subframe Brace
my 99Z looked like that when it got hit, i didnt think it was going to be totaled, but like said above; airgbags deployed = totalled 90% of the time. Sorry to say, but thats probably totalled, even if it does seem easily fixable able. The body shop may think its fixable, but the insurance company will just look at the fact that the airbags are out. Anyways, its sad either way, but could be an opportunity to get something nicer. Good luck in whatever happens to it.
Swap an 02 front end on there, haven't seen a Orange 02 Coupe, just an idea.
Typically if your car gets totalled, you can buy it back for a percentage of the money you get from the insurance company to rebuild it. Its not a total loss.
