Merry Christmas (no 56k)

Well I got a present today a couple days early of course. Seems that another driver needed to occupy the same amount of space I did. Fortunately the police sited her and so that is a good thing. Happened at GLC on the back drive by Steak and Shake, apparently you aren't supposed to go straight.

Anyways, onto the carnage:

Parts List:
Both fenders
Hood
Bumper assembly (includes support and impact bar
Drivers headlight
Windshield
Both air bags and controller
Drivers seat belt
Black B-pillar cover on door (blown off when windows opened)
Lots of Orange Paint

It didn't reach the rad or intercooler so I did get lucky there.

No idea what I am going to do right now, whether it will be fixed or totalled is up to the insurance company on Tuesday.

Its going to be totalled because the airbags deployed. If I were you I would buy it back from the insurance company. Their going to want like 1500 for it, if that.

Sorry to see that dude, but yeah, if totalled I'd buy it back, wouldn't take much to repair it yourself, especially if you have a buddy working in the paint and body field.

I have a spare graphite pass. airbag cover if needed, not much, but it is something I have laying around.

It will def be close on totalling it... But i don't think it will be, but if it is def buy it back from the insurance company. It could be an easy fix.

Sorry to see it happen tho

Prolly will be totaled. Mine was a 2005 (3mos old at the time of accident) with 9k on the clock. Totaled it, but mine did have a little core support damage.

my 99Z looked like that when it got hit, i didnt think it was going to be totaled, but like said above; airgbags deployed = totalled 90% of the time. Sorry to say, but thats probably totalled, even if it does seem easily fixable able. The body shop may think its fixable, but the insurance company will just look at the fact that the airbags are out. Anyways, its sad either way, but could be an opportunity to get something nicer. Good luck in whatever happens to it.

Typically if your car gets totalled, you can buy it back for a percentage of the money you get from the insurance company to rebuild it. Its not a total loss.
