update on the work
Sunday, December 17, 2006 10:00 AM
well the old engine was ripped out and thats where i left off with the last post.

heres some shots of the engine bay somewhat cleaned up and off to the bodyshop
not to bad for a 6 year old car with 100,000 miles.

this year i think im going back to the stock fenders. some wont like it but i just feel with the mods im doing its just going to look allot smoother. so my f1 fenders are up for sale, first 150 gets them.

so with runnin 19x8 i wonder how much clearance i have when its dropped?

oh, plenty of room lol

and a few sneak shots of the bodywork thats being finished up. car should be painted and back to me in a few weeks. hes just painting the exterior to match. i would have loved to gone with a brighter silver and a complete repaint. but money wont allow it. the engine bay is getting painted as well allong with some extra paintwork that should look really cool. thast being kept under wraps till it gets back and i have pics, im going to spend a bit of time installing the new motor to try and keep the bay as clean as i can. wich will involve rerouting a bunch of wires so plan for a slow install.

that is all for now.

it didnt used to be white lol its just the engine bay was never really painted to match, its like they left it in primer instead of spraying it. ive always hated that it didt match but thats all going to change now. well actually when its finished the engine bay sitll wont match the car entirely lol god i cant wait to show some finished pics. the underside of the trunk will still be that off color but i am having him spray the trunk lid doors to match and when i take the car back in the summer for some more work i'm going to have him spray the underside of the trunklid. i just have to make a panel on the underside of it and manage to find a 10" tv to pick up cheaply. and vince the cars not at home so i can't go work on it lol (although i do need to get polishing the eco)
