it makes me feel better knowing that theres other guys out puting some money into thier jbody cause we all know its not cheap to build one right. over this past sumer i decided to get rid of my vortec blower and go turbo. here is what i am running:
2.4 with fully ported head, stainless valves, secret cams, ARP head studs, cometic head gasket, wiseco 8.5:1 pistions, eagle h-beams, fully balanced, spec stage 3 clutch, ported throttle body, RC 750cc injectors, MSD Blaster SS Coils (running individual coils becuase of the AEM), vortech pump upgrade, venom fuel rail, accel fpr, jtuners coated turbo manifold, Turbonetics T3/T04E 57 trim .63 A/R turbine, 2.5" charge pipes, 10"x30" front mount, AEM Universal Engine Management System (cost me about $2,000), custom 2.5" exhaust from downpipe back with no cat.
i do get bashed alot for bragging about my AEM on here but it really doesnt bother me because half of the people on here probably dont even know what they are or do not know a thing when it comes to installing one that just doesnt plug right into a factory harness. i would have went with hptuners but i own a 96 and its not available. yes i do have my rev limiter set at 7500 right now and most likely wont go much higher because its just out of the the power range. the car is currently in detroit right now at my brothers house. he works for General Motors as a mechanical engineer and he has a friend with a dyno up there. we decided to take the car up there for winter since he has a 3 bay garage that needs some company. we are just working on the wiring harness double checking all connections and making it look really nice. i had to use a crank trigger setup for the AEM since it requires a different type of crank sensor than the one provided from GM in our cars. therefore i had to order a trigger wheel that was on back order and i just recieved it so that has yet to be put on the car. i currently have one installed on the car that i made to use temporarily. i have not turned the boost past 15 psi yet due to the little amount of time that was available for tuning. the car did put down 375 hp and 345 lbft tq at 15 psi with us being a little restrictive on the timing because it was the first time the car was strapped down. i am upset i dont have much video yet. i havent had time to work on the car since i started college again this fall so im looking forward to christmas break. like i stated before, im not on here to impress anyone and i really dont care about people that talk @!#$. i am very impressed with your car though man, nice stuff and i want your turbo header. good luck with the car buddy, it would be awesome to hit up a meet together or something......if you have AIM my screename is: mad96cavyz24

im not going to come back harsh because i dont think it is necessary. but. that is not your car. like i said. i never said yur car sucked. i would love to see your car in action but as far as racing i would be dumb to even bother. then again i have other priorities than throwing all my money into my car. like two children and a household to support. and even if i had thousands to put into a car it wouldnt be a j. not that i wouldnt like too. but i could save a lot of money and still leave you seconds behind me by finding a shell to finish my old project. you might not be a ford guy but i think i might have a chance with my 351 windsor with cleveland heads. port and polished and cammed. with a edelbrock intake manifold and dual holley 4barrel carbs and fully rebuilt c6 transmission with shift kit and high stall converter. if i get that in a shell ill come out and run the strip with you. but in all honesy did you hink it was worth it to tell me you can beat me. most of the people on this site could. im not that ignorant. but i need something to cart my a$$ to work and back with and wanted it to be a litle bit more fun. so maybe if you accepted the fact that me and a few others stated that this was someone elses car and had already been posted recently instead of hypocritically bashing me it would make yo look less ignorant.

yea honstly i is pretty dumb. so ill be the one to end it. yes he has a nice car and i made a remark about posting a previously posted video of someone else's car. my bad. so heres the deal. ill be the first to admit that the 351 was not built by me. it is an old project started by my father and his buddy. (currently supervisor of the largest ford garage in hawaii) it is estimated to put out 600 hp. it was left to me and i have been looking into finding a car for it. but now i will back off because it is pointless to argue over the internet. point is im not the only one to say something stupid to this guy and he comes back at me and me alone. ticked me off but im over it and thats all. lastly i would have to say hat i love the j-body and the only reason i would not put money into making it fast is because i have an engine that is already pretty mean waiting for a car to hold it and it would save me a lot of money over putting thousands into the cav. the plan is to drive the cav till it dies and enjoy every second of it but if i want to make a car worth taking to a track its just not gonna be the little 2200 ohv motor in my dd.
