PICS of my headswap, HPT mounting, and new interior... 56K warning!

so here's after a few hours working on the car today:

in the garage with yee!

intake manifold off, valve cover off, intake removed, upper motor mount removed, fuel rail pulled away, etc preparing to pull the head tomorrow

closer

one of these things is not like the other...

note the valve stem is not contacting the lifter the way it should THIS is what necessitated the whole stage 2 upgrade =D

a normal, non damaged valve

undamaged valve again

damaged valve in foreground, normal valve in background

PJ, where is your HPT mounted?

hmm here's a USB cable...

here's the cable for the OBD2 port... getting warmer

hahaah hidden underneath the center console, permanently installed and hooked up to my innovate wideband

the new look from the captain's chair.. autometer shift light cobalt style in the center, innovate motorsports wideband on the sail panel on the drivers door. I'm going to be putting the blank face on it so no one will know what the numbers mean >=)
also, my new momo jet carbon steering wheel <3 <3

when i tuck the cables under the seat and the dash, you would be completely unable to tell the car is sporting HPT. I'm even thinking about rigging a switch to turn the wideband off for even more sleeper effect.

PJ, I would not advise keeping your HPT there..... That is asking for trouble.... Besides, what if you need it for another car?? I do too many cars to even think about doing something like that.. Also, what if a passsenger spills something.???!!!!??!?!?

hmm spills is a possibility

but i could pull it out for another car if I need it, its not drilled or secured in any other way than bein tucked in there its totally reachable for the record button or anything like that

but I am thinkin about using it on my new beater when i get it in march so i may remove it... MAYBE lol

ty everyone

i'll be posting more pictures tomorrow as progress continues

lookin to have the car back on its feet by thanksgiving

basically this little trip involves swapping to the stage 2 patriot head
removing my balance shafts and installing delete kit from LZM
installing ford green top 440cc injectors (already installed in picture)
re-installing my LZM triflow cams

I'm excited the car should be significantly faster than it was before.

I'm also looking at pushing the redline even higher to a limiter of 7700rpm and shifting around 7500

Wow, this car has really come a long way since the swap. Its going to be a moster when you boost it, and even now, this should put you up there pretty far na. I like the hp mounting position alot. I would have done something a little cleaner with the wideband, but i understand...function over form. It def looks promising tho. Lets see some stellar timeslips.

yea i have those pictures on my server I'll make a thread about it pretty soon in all the
excitement of swapping cams there weren't too many pictures taken of re-assembly lol
but i'll see what I can come up with.

I thought it was pretty clean =(
ghetto rigged I know, I'll mold up a nice little pod to go there soon enough (another member
made one already i thought i was the only one who thought of putting a gauge there!)
maybe I can get them to make me one.

unfortunately it doesn't look like the car is going to be ready in time for the end of this season.
I want to take it easy for the first week or so and make sure everything is kosher before really
unleashing it. Also, I have to re-tune the VE tables for 440cc injectors which i'm sure will throw
a monkey wrench into the works since I'm not sure if my constant is correct.

And after its all back together with cams, ported head, balance shafts deleted, injectors that can
handle the load, throttle body, and header + full exhaust, I have one or two more tricks up my sleeve to
make more power and stay all motor that should be a pretty interesting developement.

shh to those who know

as was said black cat

call them up, alex is a great guy and will work with you 100%!
the cluster set me back quite a bit but has custom blue LED illumination, as well as a blue odometer with blue needles
also, if you notice my tachometer is mounted int he center of the cluster and my corner speedo is 140mph
its friggin sweet.. my shift light is kinda blocking the whole thing i'm thinking about moving it because the cluster is so beautiful.

as far as I know, the cluster was a bit of a headache to make so I don't think there's going to be anymore of it made. here's some other pics of it

only one of its kind
