Ung.
What you know bout' dem dual throttle bodies
(Disclaimer- this vehicle if you prefer to call it one instead of a POS, is not mine therefore I am in no way associated with the sweet custom boost application)
------------------------------------------------------------
It looks like the hood prop rod is holding up the charger.
Otherwise it's mint...
Other than that not being the intake side of the engine, it'd work awesome.
hmmmmmm
I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
that is big pimpin. whos is this???
ill be honest, i am @!#$ confused when it comes to this pic
i dont see how that could run very well, if at all
Joe Schulte wrote:Other than that not being the intake side of the engine, it'd work awesome.
first thing i wanted to say
WTF
2 words....Engine cleaner..
Looks like the S/C is mounted upside-down, so all the boost goes through the assembly on top that leads into the stock 2.2 intake area. I guess if it works, then there's no reason to knock it other than it doesn't look very pretty.
yah if you look at it its sitting upside down ..at first i thought the same thing as well..good idea tho..id try it if i could find a charger cheap..poor thing must get heat soaked bad tho with the header right there..phil
wait wtf, does that produce boost?!
Ugh... Theres no belt on it?
Joe Schulte wrote:Other than that not being the intake side of the engine, it'd work awesome.
notice the charger is upside down and the custom pipe run to the tbody BOO YA!
It is sitting on top of the exhaust manifold?
What is that on the right side of the blower?
I don't see how it can be a throttle body.
Functionality>looks
Joe Schulte wrote:Other than that not being the intake side of the engine, it'd work awesome.
Yea, it'd work great with the extra throttle body and no kind of filter.

I dont know what else would have throttle cable and throttle rotors attached
Yes it is a throttle body.
------------------------------------------------------------
so you don't know who it belongs to?

I know it's a throttle body, I didn't mean to sound ignorant. What I meant was why does it stick out 6-7 inches?
That cover is from a S/Ced thunderbird too.
.

first thing, the supercharger is not mounted upside down, that is how it is. Thats a M90 off a thunderbird supercoupe. They are mounted like that so they can use a intercooler..
obviously this is not running
granted there is quite a few things wrong with it.
if he has the TB on the s/c hooked up then there is no point for a BOV on the charge pipes.
there is no pulley on the charger.
2 bolts are missing from the upper plenum part
that charger in no way will be efficeint on that motor at all, after all it is a m90
granted it could work, but it might just be a progress picture. at least he is doing something none you are willing to try

No, this is the finished project.
As far as doing something I wouldnt try, you're right.
I have ecotec
------------------------------------------------------------
in that cause. obviously he is running no boost.
no pulley kind of makes that hard.
second the BOV serves no purpose after the throttle body
and that makes sence why it doesn't look like he has any fuel upgrades.
in that cause, this person is just a dumb@ss

Can you get some "finished" pics... with the pulley... ect installed? Do you know this person? More info is def. needed for belief... I mean I see that it's sitting there... but doesn't look "useful"
1st as said before that's off a supercoupe, 2nd, that's not a tb on the drivers side of the charger, that's an adaptor and the Mass airflow sensor, 3rd, the reason there is a blow off valve is because the stock 2.2 TB is actually still in use, the black on the maff it simply a wiring connector.
1st 1st gen on air.....
