I recently got ahold of a 2000+ Sunfire cluster to put in may Cavalier---thanks to
horcake
I wanted one of these for a while, now I finally have one. Don't mind my half red/half primer bezel, I still have to re-paint it from when I molded in a gauge.
Anyway here are 2 pics of the new cluster.
I like the overall look of this cluster more than the stocker---I just like the layout of the gauges.
yeah I plan on doing that to. I love the look of the sunfirw clusters
Damn that looks familiar... lol looks like it went to a good home.

That's how I felt for the longest time. I literally stumbled upon this one. I went into the regional forums and accidentally clicked on the Ohio/Mideast forum instead of the northeast. I saw horcake's post and e-mailed him. Best part was that he was willing to ship.
looks good...i got a extra one in my room i might put in my cavy
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Nice.

Sunfires FTW!
anyways.... let's see pictures of the rest of the dash.
2k+ its plug and play odo and all
i love sunfire clusters
the best is when the temp is 195, rpm at 4k, speedo at 80, and half tank of gas...it looks good
I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
Mykeln wrote:Was it a straight plug and play? And did the odometer read the same? Just curious.
Odometer readings is kept in the bcm, so the cluster whould read what the bcm sends to it. So the odometer reading would be the same.
I did this too and my odometer doesn't light up, is there a way to fix it or do I have to buy a new cluster?
Looks good thow

When I got mine the temp part didnt light up so well, I smacked the dash a few times and its worked perfect ever since ^^.
Man you suck not fair. Send it to me I want it more lol. I actually purchased one off ebay but was refunded because of a malfunction with it when they tested it.

Here's a pic from before the cluster went in and it was all one color---this was before I molded the volt meter gauge in:
Here's a pic of just the bezel after I molded in the gauge, before I put it in the car:

Yes, it was plug and play. Since I already had the dash apart, it took literally 5 minutes to take the old one out and put this one in.
Thanks guys
looks good its on my next list of lil mods to do since the inside of my car is all lit up red except the gauge cluster.
i have a 96 sunfire and i want to swap my cluster to a cavy one. i know it's not plug and play, but anyone have any info of swapping them? Any help is much appreciated.
I did the same swap. Definately like the SF cluster better
I got mine a lil while back so you dont suck anymore!

I would love to have one on my cav, but I just don't like the red....Other than that they are hot!
it's hard to tell
next to our gauge is that a engine start button?
looks good
Lanman31337 -F = fatties = do not want. A little chunk in the junk is ok though.

Man, this post was brought back from the dead.
Anyway, that is not a start button. That is the switch for my amplifier mounted there. It is no longer there due to molding the gauge in. Well, it's still there, just hangin out of the hole that the gauge goes in. I ran out of nice weather and I don't have a heated garage. As soon as spring comes around, I am going to find a new location for that switch and get the bezel painted.
Is there a way to replace just the odometer on this. Mine has dimed to the point of where you can't read the mileage anymore.
