Re: most expensive sunfire ever

It's nice and all..... But essentially it's just a sunfire with a widebody kit.

Re: most expensive sunfire ever

ok, n e one can do that!. but a sunfire new, say 15000, after tax and all thats @!#$. wide bodykit for like lets say no more then 2000, custum paint job lets say for 2000, cause really that sticker in the front could of done with out it and its a one soild color paint job, rims and rubber maybe 2000, springs 500, spoiler 600,seats 1000, and all the lil stuff like muffler, deck, and all that maybe like 2000. total comes to....roughly 25000.

And you know this guy got a deal on everything like labour wise so plus labour if he didnt do it him self lets say 4 grand, so thats a 29,000! sunfire thats some one paid 80,000. they could of bought 2 of them and done them up thats same way and better,
*shakes head*some people

Well you are sort of right and wrong. It was a company that built that car not a guy. So yes lots of stuff was cheap or free.2000 for a paint job?? Not a good one. Not a paint job worthy of Barrett Jackson Acution. First time I have seen that video, but not the first time the car has been brought up on here.

you'd save money on parts but if your a company your paying employees to do the work and if it was a custom widebody that would take allot of time to do. allot of the reason why it went for so much was just because it was barret jackson. watching that auction allot you see people getting somewhat goaded into buying and outbidding the other guy. think allot of it has to do with how has the biggest wallet more then what they are buying some of the time.

after watching the show on speed a few times, i think that people get cought up in the emotion of the event
and then lose control of their better judgment. that is why you spen 80 big ones on a sunfire. i also think that
the person who bought the car is hoping that it will become a colecter car in the future, like a rare camaro or hemi powered
car. i doubt it will be like that, but you would never have thought a 3,000 dollar '64 pontiac la mans with a small badge that read "gto"
could be worth so much.

holy balls i dont see how without having like a frickn full tube chassis and RWD conversion this car could cost $80 grand.

i wanna see the engine, maybe thats where the extra lost $50k went lol.
