I want to give fiber glassing a try. So I figured I'd pick up a stock bumper (preferably an LS so I can have the lip) and use that as my first project. So I have two ideas I put together in photo shop. Both ideas will have projector fog lamps molded into the fog holes and the lower grill cut and smoothed out. Here is one idea:
I will fill in above and below the front emblem and leave the emblem in there.
This one I'll leave the space alone above/below the emblem and just smooth out cutting out the three vertical pieces.
Any ideas, questions, comments, criticisms? I want to try and keep it simple for my first attempt with glassing.
fiberglass doesn't like to stick to plastic! just a warning and do the second one! i dont like the first one at all.
I was thinking to adhere the glass that I would drill holes into the plastic to help and I'll rough it up with coarse sand paper.
option 1 if you can get the @!#$ to stick
Thanks for the input! Any other suggestions or tips for glassing?
#2 but trust me....ABS plastic and fiberglass dont go good together.
I like #1. Maybe you could make fiberglass inserts, then bond them with fusor or somethin. Be cheaper than going all ABS.
Is fusor a brand name? Where can I find that, where ever I find the stuff for glassing?
both look retarded imo
get an LS kit and call it a day
That's my first choice, but that's more money than I want to spend right now. I just keep my fingers crossed that someone will get rid of their silver LS kit for cheap

I'd be all over that!
