I'm sure over the years alot of you have seen the posts about Intakes that RDAFBS custom fabricates. I too learned about them through JBO in the sticky event made in the performance forum. Fortunatly for me, Chris ( AgentOmega) I met 3 years ago showed me what really goes into their products by being able to actually to witness the process first hand. Since then they have expanded and have a fully equipt shop to basically to everything possible. I was also able to be apart of helping them in the prestages of setting up the shop by insulated and also the joke that never dies out there of me figuring out we had something grounding out and realized that when i touched the garage door and got a nice jolt.. * hey cody, touch it again.. Ouch @!#$ ryan is shocked me again!*
But not untill now, have i been able to bring you pictures of the tedious work behind their real master minds. So without further adue.... Here it the latest RDFABS one off custom stainless steel exhaust on my 99 cav..Its a 2.5" from the header all the way back to the dual exhaust.
First step was to get rid of the old nasty rusted 2200 header and everything that was in the way...
This is what my old stock exhaust setup use to look like. I spent the whole deal getting ridiculed since i had a door hinge pushing my old fart cannon muffler down so it wouldn't hit my body kit.... Atleast it was a STANLEY!
... and i would like to dedicate this next portion to PACESETTER's Quality control, which who ever passed my armor coated header can suck my knob for this one...

Atleast the header went in with no problems.
Uh oh... something is missing...
We ran into a problem with my rear O2 sensor, the damn thing was rusted in place where myself, ryan or chris could get the damn thing to come out. So an expected trip to NAPA was in store..

Then ontop of my total exhaust install today another customer and his civic was getting his turbo install finished up. This is # 2 for RDFABS. But me and chris found something they had hidden in their secreate tool box. APC edition civic.. yo!!

... and here is where things became interesting and the experince ryan has as a welder came into play..
While ryan was still working on fabbing up the horns for the dual portion, I spent some time and took care of the carbon from the welds. BLING BLING... man i love stainless steel!!
Ryans welds are top notch, he had this thing together in no time at all and i still have a dropped jaw lookin at them in this pic.
Mmmmm.... This is the term.. header back install....
... everything in the engine bay all button'd back up. Valve cover will be going out next week to be chromed with a few other things to really set off the engine bay. Then sadly the car has to go away back into storage..
But on the way home... Lemme tell you my butt dyno was very impressed from when i drove it out there in the morning. I didn't feel a decrease in bottom end according to my butt dyno, but my top end litterly screams now. Anything 3K+ just pulls like a bad outta hell. In the end, if anyone is willing to make a drive to Port Byron, NY and is wanting an exhaust install RDFABS is hands down top knotch. I knew trying to go duals on my car was going to be a pain, but when all said and done this just made my jaw drop. You can contact Chris L ( AgentOmega) thru JBO pm, or his business e-mail addy,

I still can't get enought of this thing. After i got done posting this last night, i went into my garage at 3am just to rev the car and listen to the exhaust.

I gotta ask, why go to all the expense and work of installing that admittedly good looking exhaust, but cheap out on a pacesetter header and, uh... paint?
Also, personally, I don't like how the exhaust diverts from it's stock path and sits under the spare tire well. It looks like it eliminates too much ground clearance.

The other way of doing it (piping up to the drivers side muffler, then cutting it OVER to the pass side) is the type of setup that allows for one muffler to "smoke" more than the other. This design allows us to see somewhat equal pressure in both sides.
Sorry I had to leave early, Cody. It definitely turned out amazing, though. Before I saw these pics, I knew that was the design he'd do for you. It always does look phenominal when you're looking at the car from the back. Can't wait to hear it, man!

His pictures are a good start. Also it's a personal opinion. But I think RK Sports, and i-performance headers are of better quality, as are most of the custom ones I've seen on this site. Again, it's just a personal opinion. I don't mean for it to reflect on your car or anyone else's.

I understand that was the point, but I'm still not a fan of that arrangement. Personally I'll stick with a single outlet design.
very nice header wrap job on the civic though. Looks surprisingly clean. Anyone know of any like that that wont burn off after a few miles.
