Couple small projects

Been bored and wanting to do something to the car, so I came up with these two. I put in a power trunk release a while ago with my alarm, so the lever became pretty much useless to open my trunk. I took the stock piece, cut out a section. Epoxy'd some plastic to give it some shape, a little filler, and some paint. Turned out pretty good. Nothing in my trunk to steal, so now the thieves have an easy way to check.

Second one, I've had a whole in my dash for close to about a year and a half now. I was working with getting a Heads Up Display from a Grand Prix into my car, which didn't pan out. I cut out a vent which was going to house the HUD switch, but came up with this instead. Cut up an interior piece I had lying around, and epoxy'd it into place. The switch turns on the fan (a la Wild Weasels' mod), and the water temp gauge speaks for itself. Yes there's already a coolant gauge, but I find the Autometer one more responsive as it sits right in the block.

thanks for the compliments guys. Lots of slack in the wires to make it easy going on, and just in case the dash has to come off. Here's the final pics:
