So I started on my air ride install. I won't have the front bags for another couple weeks... but I got the rears put on tonight so I figure i'd show ya.
Good: Rear wheels tuck VERY nicely and do not rub. Everything works right. Raises hella fast due to 1/2" valves & lines.
Bad: Small leak somewhere. Exhaust scrapes the ground when slammed (easy fix... just lift it up a little). Takes one compressor FOREVER to fill the tank (waiting on my other relay so I can get the second compressor running). I do not have the front bags yet so I can't play with it much.
Here's the only pic I have so far. I will get more pics tomorrow when it's daytime (couldn't get any pics tonight because we did it in the dark with a couple droplights and a streetlight).
Aww crap... the subject was supposed to be "It has started..." Should have checked first.
Well, a lot of people feel more comfortable doin' it in the dark
J/K
I hope you're havin' fun for me because I'm over seas and can't even get my hands on a wrench to turn
Good luck with it all
how many gallon tank is that??
think i have a 8.5 gal with 2 380 compressors
Looks good !!!
can't wait to get mine!!
looking sweet man
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
It's only a 5 gallon tank. It takes around 8 minutes to fill from 0 - 145, so I figure another compressor would cut that time in half.
03lssportblue - Thank ya muchly.
your done!
leave it like that!!!!!!!
j/p its gonna look great when you get the front bags
wow makes me want bags. how hard is the install
looks like you have 2 compressors in the picture?
I got the digital upgrade and i been told its not hard, just takes time to set everything up, leak proof it. and replace the shocks. I think also you just have to run 1 wire to under the dash and everything else to the controler.
Streaker - I know I can't wait... I've almost got enough money and I still graduate this weekend.
Carbon Cavi - It's very easy. IMO, the hardest part was getting the fittings mounted to the tank and leak proofed.
Topsub - Yeah I got 2 compressors, but I originally only had 1.
I saw that phone number and i thought to myself "I'll be damned... another lebtucky org member" lol. I'm from webo but I hang out in lebanon all the time. IM me at coday182 sometime and maybe we can meet up. I would love to see ur car in person.
I love your car....how dark is your tint?!
Deuce - Sweet man, I bet someone might call that #. Haha... my AIM screen name is in my Reg.
Shadowfire - Thanks man, It's 5%. I don't get hassled by cops around here though. There is only one cop that actually cares and I normally have my windows down when I pass him... lucky me.
those water seperators are HUUGGEE....
Soon to be Lime Green Primer... I like Mine with No shine
^^ is that what is connected to ur tank?
What was best way to make the system leak proof?
Cavvistyle - Yeah, they are pretty big.
Topsub - Yep, the grey things on both sides of the tank are water traps. The best way to leak proof the system is to wrap teflon tape around the fittings. My tank only loses around 4 or 5 psi when I leave it sit over-night.
Darren - Thanks alot.
looks good man likein the trunk.
Thats awesome. Let me know what kind of problems you have.. ( if any ) so i can try aviod / prepare for them when i get mine.. Hopefully next week jason said.
Looks good man.
I just hope i have enough room in my trunk for all this i want to put in there.
2 subs. 2 amps. 8.5 gal tank, 2 compressors. 2 water traps. 18 inch rim + tire
Yellow22 - Thanks alot.. your car looks good too.
Topsub - I haven't really had any problems yet. Other than the one little leak. We'll see when I put the front bags on. Hopefully nothing goes wrong. You should be able to fit everything if you try hard enough.. what are you doing with your valves?
wow that's gonna look hot
love the setup in the trunk, that's gonna look great at shows
next purchase should be some rims!
looks good.. minus the mr7's
