Grim Reaper update
Sunday, May 28, 2006 6:12 PM
I just thought I would make a update on the Reaper. After sitting under a car cover for 9 months I pulled it out yesterday. Here is how it looked after sitting for 9 months.

We have a engine problem (it runs, bt makes noises). We think it is a bearing issue, but have not looked into it. I have picked up a few new things for it. Does anyone know where this part came from???

Here is what it looks like in the car.

I also have picked up these.

Should have a lot more updates coming soon. I washed the car later. It was nice to have the car out and clean.

No. the dash pad was off another older timers car.

Thanks for the comments. I have lots of plans for the car still. The dash pad needs to be striped and prepped and painted. I need to decide on what seats to put in the car. I need to swap it over to a 97 ECU.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the pad was from Rocky's Cookie Monster.

Thanks for the comments. I was never a fan of the Dark wheels Jim had on the car. They will never be back on it again.
The Dash pad was not cookies, but Matt Teskes dash pad. A local bought it from Teske and painted it for his car. After being in the car for a day the paint cracked, so he was done with it. I jumped on the chance to have it. When it is done it will have 6 gauges in the car. Currently EGT, Boost, Fuel pressure, adding oil pressure, oil temp, and tranny temp. I think we are going to paint the dash pad black, and I might have some more air brush done on it to go with the theme of the car. I pretty much have the intercooler for it (have to pick it up), and of course doing the piping. First find and fix the issue with the motor.

I should add that the air brush work is a huge improvement over the the old vinyl reaper graphics it had.

Old wheels are still hot to us OG's, but you have to update to keep up with the times.

Well, that is pretty interesting if you ask me. MY dash made it into Jim Trevino's old car. Two of the originals colliding without even trying. That is cool. Now, if you get BOTH Jim and I to sign it, that would make for some crazy stuff. I think the planets would need align just right for that moment. Glad to know part of my car still lives on in another all-time great J.
