Well since I've been here for a decent amount of time I figured it was about time I shared some photos of my cav. It's an 02 Z24 and has seen its share of problems, but I still love it. Sadly I don't have any photos from when I first got it, but needless to say it was dark blue with the lip kit. First let me start off with some history. Shortly after I bought the car, this stupid woman, oddly enough also driving a cavalier, pulled out in front of me as I was doing about 50 and I rearended her. I actually fishtailed her into the median because she was still on an angle compared to me from her turn on to the street. Anyway, amazingly there was almost no damage...or so I thought, so we parted ways as I really didn't want to make a claim on my insurance since there really was no evident damage. Long story short, about a month later I get on the interstate to go to a concert with three friends. Evidentally when I rearended this woman the bracket that latches in my hood was bent and put under tremendous pressure. Thus when I hit about 85 on I-75, all hell broke loose. So my car looked like this:
Mmm and here is the bracket still solidly latched in.
And there's the rest of it.
So needless to say, my car looked pretty damn bad. Somewhere near 4,000 bucks in damage. My insurance company wasn't too happy about that. But since then the cavy has slowly transformed back into a respectable car. It now has tint, clear corners, a full exhaust (Pacesetter Armor Coated Header, Magnaflow High-Flow Cat, Dynomax 28' Resonator, custom 2.5 inch exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler, and new wheels on the way. So here's how she looks now. Sorry for the not so great pictures.
These will be arriving next week in Gun Metal.
Then two weeks later these:
And then, the big boy, about two months from today:
And then it will be off to paint for the finally. So let me know what you guys think about the cav and it's very near future. Oh, by the way, I know it's hard to tell from the old front pic, but the front lip is on the car. It's just hidden by the shadow and such.
Here's another photo I found. It's kind of weird looking because of the sun, but it kind of gave it a cool effect.
sucks bout the hood and looks like u got some great things to come. clean look too.. but.. if u just keepin the lip kit i woulda opted for Eibach Sportlines with koni struts.. u dont have snow to worry bout lol and woulda gave a nicer and more aggressive stance with those rims.. good luck with it tho
Who bought your the corners? Oh yeah, me
Rest In Peace, Saint.
Truth > God
yea, keep the lips, but if u dont, sell them to me
Heh, sorry Haron, but the lips are staying. I love my cavy just the way it is. I think the lip kit just sets it off perfectly. Once it's dropped a bit to get rid of that ridiculous rear fender gap it should look great.
looking good, but ditch the fish
