I installed my MSD today....this is now my favorite mod to my car. I cannot believe the increase in gas milage, the little kick in the a$$ after 2nd gear, the over all smoothing out of the idle and revs, and how it just snugly fits behind the strut tower bar!
Also from the wires to the igniton and coils, it is all MSD baby! (don't pay no mind to the dirty engine...it gets cleaned tomorow)
was it hard to install it?
I have about $587 in the whole rig. It is was way easier to hook up than I thought it would be. If you can follow a 12v ground wiring digram, and have1 hour and...
drill
hack saw -- to cut the bolt on the firewall (that used to hold the throttle cable)
the MSD DIS-2 fits really good over the AC line. It would be a snap to remove too.
torx bit set -
wire strippers-
instructions - MSD coil adapter instructions and DIS-2 inst
cold bevrage(s) -
I also put in my A/F ratio gauge and the volt meter.
nice. I am looking into getting one.
yay for the MSD, bleh for the pod a full replacement is in order.
looks good. but i have to ask. what mirrors do you have on your car???
Sweet setup! I'm liking it.

I think hes not a fan of the pep boys special stick on's. aplus is your freind there here to help.
Im a level 32 joedm newb flamer.
LMAO it is not a pep boys "stick on " anything. It is made by Autometer...
half the time I don't know why I bother posting pics.
I'm rocking the Autometer 2 gauge pod myself, doesn't look as clean as a full pod, but with some SEM graphite interior paint mine looks a ton better, so I recommend that.
Don't get discouraged, it's not their money to spend.

Coming Soon:HpTunersPro, EagleConnectingRods, WiescoPistons, 13sec2200
how was the msd ignition to install? and with the msd ignition was there any tuning you had to do once installed? also with the dis 2 was there any tuning after install or just go with it after bolt in? this could be my next mod, i hate you guys you make me spend all my paychecks!
yes I got your PM. I don't really have pictures during the install. It was very easy though. you will need the MSD coil pack adapters. Then I just followed the instructions below to wire it up.
Thanks for that diagram.. Very useful.

Not yet. I may play around with it tomorrow. What are people finding to be the best settings for the dials on a NA 2200?
It made a hell of a difference in gas milage (which makes sense because the air/fuel is being burned much more completely). I have not calculated it yet..but I will keep ya posted.
Made some progress today...it was a good day (no rain)
I went back to stock tails...
finished my stereo...
badges get shaved tomorrow..and fog lights
putting it right there for a 2.2 works but if its an eco or a 2.4 the heat from the header will screw that msd all up
