Bagdfire at Funk Flex (5 pics)
Tuesday, March 14, 2006 6:45 PM
The first stop of the Funk Flex tour was in Toronto this past weekend and I was lucky enough to get most of my car painted in time to take it to the show. We cut it pretty close considering the car was shadowed and cleared on Weds afternoon and had to be at the show the following night. Before anyone comments, the projectors I made didnt get paint on them so I took the car without, along with it not having an engine, interior or misc rubbers and trim. I just wanted to show off all the work that I had done over the winter. The show went great, even though I didnt win anything. Enough with the small talk, here are the pics....

On the trailer going to the show...

Front view at the show.... (our section was dark, sorry)

Rear shot...

Side shot ( Dont worry, big brakes are going in before the engine goes back )

Close up of the paint....

I still don't like that front lip design, but the paint does make it look a LOT better And dayum! The center 'hubs' or w/e of the rim is almost as big as the rear brake! lmao.

Lookin' real good tho

Why didn't you just turn on your headlights to light up the place... oh, wait. NM.

Looks very good, but one thing I think is a must for your car is bigger brakes!

Asside from the drums looking tiny, I think you need to strip, smooth and paint the inside of the wheel wells in the rear. Those BIIIIIGGGGGG holes back there show off a lot of nasty under coating.

I didn't like these new rims in the progress pictures, I didn't like the lazy eyelids, I didn't like the fact that you were changing the color... but damn if it didn't all work out amazingly!
The old eyelids, chrome 22s and paint worked together but this looks far more different and works just as well. Good job.

Sheit!!! Those rear rims are HUGE!

Everything looks great so far, and the big brakes will definately set the rims off!
