Yours looks good, but it needs more work. Like the guy with that nice clean valve cover said, sandpaper is the suck. It's great to get started with, but after you wetsand up to 1000, break out the rotary tool and some good polishing compound.

If you are afraid to scratch it, you will never get it polished.

Yep. I've got both covers in my basement... polished up and everything. I just need to find a welder/machine shop that's able to make them into one for me.
