You're right, Cavaliers are not performace cars but even more so they are not intended to become show cars either sorry. I'm not putting anyone down that is "going for looks". I'm not tryin to put this guy down either, i'm just providing constructive critism because he is asking for peoples comments about his car. If he didn't want to hear peoples god honest opinions he should not have asked.

Thats cool, I just trying to show both sides you know, I don't think any car was meant to become a show car, but you know what cavaliers have good body lines and thats what makes them look good when done right. Just how you can drop a v6 in and make them faster than most. There will always be 2 different car scenes, the race and Show. People who just race won't understand the people who show and vis versa. All I know is j-bodies have proven their place both in Race and show, take the drag cars of Jegs or Summit and Mull's car they have open doors for many j-bodies, whether you like it or not they have. I for one did my car because it was my first car, i guess it holds sentimental value.
And its not you so much that i was commenting to, I was referring to the ones who are calling him Gay and making fun of him instead of giving him constructive critism. I hope you understand that
you guys gotta back off skilz now.....he took back the joke and gave good, realistic criticisms of the car. I don't like the car either but to make "chuck norris" jokes (although funny) and call the dude gay or whatever the hell else was in this post is pretty dumb.

yea, i know the blue's are totally different, but in reality its NOT a light blue, i have no idea why it looks like that. ill try and get another pic as soon as I have the time and finish my interior so u guys can see. oh and the comment about the interior not matching..... um take a close look, maybe because its not ON the car? well except for the dash, which does match. all of my interior matches my cars exterior, i just finished it yesterday, it will go on the car this weekend. oh and the pink is a much stronger one too, closer to purple.

This is one of the single most idiotic and subjective statements I have ever heard. Basing things like the tuner scene solely on how cars look is simply ridiculous. Its personal opinion and personal preference, its not a set fact or truth. What may look good to you may look horrible to someone else. Where is everyone that told me this exact statement when I posted pics of my car a while ago?!?!?! He's trying to be unique and most of these posts are not constructive criticisms, they're just opinions, most of them said as if they're fact.

For once i actually agree with some of what you said. My comment was a poor attempt at humor and was uncalled for.
As for you being part of the "tuner scene", please. Your car was never part of the tuner scene nor is Orlandomon's. If you're leaving anything its the "ricer scene" The tuner scene is for actually making car perform, not making cars have the "fast and furious look".

Nothing on th car seems to flow at all.
The wheels - Red and white wheels, they clash with the rest of the car completely. Nothing else on your car is red or white besides your brakes so why have red and white wheels?
The headlights - The pink housings just look out of place, if you want to color match them at least do it to the same color as the body surrouning them. Stock black housing headlight would look much better.
The fake scoops - Non-function scoops are just a pure ricer mod. Just because you're trying to build a "show car" doesn't mean things can't be functional. One of the nicest show cars ever on this site has functional scoops on it, its the extra effort like this that will earn you points at real cars shows.
The body kit - Your kit does not flow well at all, everything seems to be out of place. Your huge front bumper sits 2" lower to the ground than the rest of the kit and looks out of place. The front flare sticks out from the fender, looks like a step coming out from the front bumper, it would look much nicer if the flare started out on the front bumper to make a smooth transion to the fender rather than a step. Same thing with the door peice, a smoother, more tapered transition would me much less of an eye sore. The rear quarter panel does not follow the body line of the door whatsoever.
The color scheme - Pink, blue, red, white and black. I'm no expert on colors but all of these just seem to clash to me. If you like pink, thats fine but use it with other colors that don't clash with it so badly.

I didnt know you had to spend 5k to make a Cavalier run 13's...
My point here is: Why make a car thats already fast go faster? Why not take something thats not MEANT to be done and do it, I give mad props to the 2200 guys bustin ass to make good numbers....thats hard to do...
Alot harder than paying money to get body work and throw a set of wheels on...but thats always been an ongoing battle of Looks vs. Performace...

I said nothing about making a j-body fast or not it was a statement that I have heard people make and have witness many j-body owners get mad over it, just like when the j-body owners get mad over someone saying that showing a j-body is stupid. you need to relax and quite jumping all over people's nuts when you don't agree with something.
