engine goes to the machine shop tomorrow for the full rebuild, they are decking the head and block, bore'n the block .20" overbore, port and polishing the head and building the 2.4 head with carcustoms (si) valves, 2.3 HO spring with stock retainers and valve guides, balance my rotating assembly and doing the 2.3 oil pump conversion complete with brand new 2.3 parts. boost and nitrous here i come

Looks great, looks similar to what I have done to mine. The .020 over bore seems to be a common set up for GM SC applications, also I assume you are running 9.0.1 compression?

i printed the directions off of the new york jbody website, they had a full install write up and i got about 50 images via email from someone on here that i emailed to the machine shop to help them. thanks ny-jbodies

thanks, the machinist said "bring me the directions and ill do it" so i got lucky i guess he'd even attempt, he said he does 2.0 turbo dsm engines all the time im guessing they got oil pump conversion from 7 bolt to 6 bolt or something. btw, stock internals suck haha big differance in the rod thicknesses. when are you starting the rebuild, do you have the engine yet?

but yes I have my 2.4 spare engine. I have all the aftermarket stuff for my head, that will be the first thing to the machine shop here soon.. Then I'll start on the block.. After that, the tranny.. Thats my 3 phases of building up this engine. Btw, you've got mail
