IZN TRBL: i have an idea for some tails... and from seeing those pics i know exactly what would need to be done.
ive noticed that when our tails are lit up, the whole housing isnt equally lit up.
looking at this:


it clear to me that this is due to the curviture on the right side of the bulb. if that peice(the one of the far left in the pic) didnt have that in there, then the whole tail would light up, correct? because since it has that curve in it, it kind of block all the light from reaching the far right corner of the taillight. how hard would that be to take that curve out and make it one clean bend/curve so that the light would hit the whole tail without interuption??

what do you think? its just something thats kind of bugged me with our tails...

now im just messing around, but here it is with some clear reflectors on the diffuser painted black....

its more like a wall, and you cant cut into it. id suggest plugging in another bulb from the back. i took some pictures to help you see the inside....

Wow, Very creative. I've thought about somehow taking my 01 Z front side markers and cutting flames into the amber dome....Think that is somehow doable? Just something I've considered and thought would look different but never really sat down to figure out.

The round PCB that I have is a 2.5" diameter, so you probably have about another 1/4 -1/2 " of room overall if you want to center mount the brake light in the housing.

The clear reflector appears to be 3", maybe 4" at the most, so if it were off-center, that's a possible mounting point. I'll pull some measurements this week and post 'em.

Mad Props for coming up with clear tails for us Fire guys. Those look alot like the ones I bought off Ginostyle. Having the clear tails made a huge difference on my Fire. I would like to see what they look like on a Fire that isn't black though.
