So you didnt grind the plastic before you glassed? Looks awesome but its not done correctly, should have been ground down and holes drilled to let the resin seep thru to the backside to prevent future cracking.

Brian,

I wans't overly concered about it... it's an interior piece not structural like the side skirts, hood or wing I did on the sunfire. There is some tiger hair on the left side where it's most flexible to stiffen the piece up a bit. Aside from that area, I don't see it being a big deal.

I've flexed the piece more than it will even encouter while it's on the car or in R&I processes while working on it. Shoudln't be a problem.

What like we got no other projects and lots of spare time?

And yes it does look nice, and yes his car is sick and wrong and done well, but one day he will do something wrong, like get near another woman from Florida driving in Michigan.......

i like it

but ida put vent holes inbetween them for the air , since ilive in az and the A/C is so dam important

most gauges are eithe 2 5/8" or 2"/2 1/16"

are they any easier to see than on the pillar ? like while actually racing

i seam to never look at my boost gauge , while driving down the 1/4 , lol

Depending on where you live, and how hot/cold your car gets in the summer/winter, you may want to get concerned about it. F/g doesn't like to adhere to plastic very well, especially if you don't make the surface rough before hand, as Flip said. I did this very same thing to my bezel 2 summers ago, and by the end of the summer, I had bubbles and cracks where the f/g meets the plastic all around the bezel.

It looks good though, but don't expect it to last.

haha,.........i think we can find some spare time to make some extra dash gauge pods

Johnathon Broda, i don't think that would be to much of a problem with the sunfire dash, email me a pic of what your thinking of, so I can get started of one for you.

^^^^^ THANK YOU! I was thought i was the olny one who thought that. It looks great but im sure it will crack later on unless you have nice roads every where you go. i had problems with my first one i built but i got it right on the second try but my roads around me are total crap.

and to everyone wanting one it wont be cheap the actual besal itself is $80. sometimes you can get lucky and find one for less. i think if its done right 200.00 would be a very fair price because of all the work involved.

again it looks great i just hope it holds up
