mattbeck16: god im a loser lol
Lemme know how they sound
.
they won't fit unless you do some cutting
sorry for the bad news...but the speakers magnet is offcenter and the hole in the door is centered
i got the infinities a long time ago, i took em back and got some pioneers
I have the identical speakers in mine and yes you do have to cut that adaptor plate, no big deal, mine are in and sound great.
they look bigger, are they for the 6x9s? or are they just 4x6s?
Shoulda gone with 6-1/2 components man. At least you picked the right brand
if those are the new models they arent quite as good... infinity was bought out by harman industries, and they now manufacture the infinity line
still better than most tho
Dont worry about having to mod the front bracket, its really not that hard...just a little bit of trimming on the back plastic is all it needs to make it fit right...you dont have to mess with the mounting surface at all...just the back part. It only took 5 minutes for the pair of brackets with a dremel when i put in my polk 4x6 plates.
i had those in my 94 lumina and i loved em.... but i got alpine type x 5 1/4s for the cavi

Same here when I did my Lanzar Plate Speakers. BUT, with all fairness, they just
weren't loud enough. I have since bought Front-Pioneer TSA1680R 220WATT 6.5"
4-Way Speakers & 6.5" Front Speaker Adapters, Now I am very pleased with the
results!

AFAIK Infinity has been owned by Harmon Karmon for a while now.
Wow that was a bad goof...
*Harman int. Industries, and yeah I spelt what I wrote wrong anyway
Anyways yeah I'm trying to look up to see when they were bought, but no luck so far.
harman kardan industries. infinity has sounded great for years, and it hasnt changed. as far as i know, harman kardan treats infinty like ford treats volvo (i would know, i work for volvo). infity does its own thing, harman just pikcs some of the cool R+D stuff for its other brands/products, and takes all the end-result profits.

I have them on the front doors. They sound damn nice. With my subs in there, you can hear the vocals nice and cleare.

I agree about small plate speakers...they sound better than a oval speaker, but just dont have the volume or clarity at higher volumes even when amped. I'm planning on switching my fronts out for Memphis m-class 6.5 components as soon as i get some tax money.
