White collar, I don't think anyone has managed to get a job in a plant.

JoS. A. Bank (Exec Collection) is the coat. They're usually for sale in higher priced stores but I actually got mine for free because I turned in a Christmas Eve Store robber! Recognized the guy from my side of town and called the store owner before anyone (since she had a reward) so instead of $1000 I get this coat. No complaints! Hot coat!

Very nice camera indeed.
Please don't take offense to this next statement. I don't want a "I'm a professional....you're not a professional" @!#$storm to start over it in your thread.
The E-Volt E series of cameras are a great prosumer line of cameras. It would take a blind person to screw up a shot with one of them.
With that said, I'd like to comment on your pics if you don't mind:
The first shot looks pretty good. The focus is tack sharp where you wanted to direct it (the front of the car) and looks like it fades out to either an F/6.7 or F/8 aperture. The only annoyances (I wouldn't even call them a problem) is that the car is cropped out of the picture in the rear and that the garbage behind the car to the right is an eyesore.
The second shot looks very good too. Perfect white balance and the focus is great. The only problem I see with this shot is that the car isn't symmetric between the tree branches. Had you of moved a little more to the left, it would of been a perfect shot.
The third shot is a little confusing to me. I see what you were trying to do by getting the longer part of the car and the house along the diagonal of the scene. However, the whole shot makes it look like your house and car are on the side of a mountain. If I had to guess, your intention of the shot was to get everything within the frame in focus. I suggest using an aperture of at least F/13 or up next time. That will really bring out the sharpness in the treeline.
Number four has that mountain effect going on again. However, this time it looks pretty good because it's a closer shot to the car and not really much of anything else. A rule of thumb I use when tilting the camera at obscene angles is that either you're doing close-ups of a car, or you better have some really confusing scenery (tall buildings in an alley for an example) around you. In this case, it looks really cool, as if the car is going into a drift if it was in motion. Good use of the white balance (the fog lamps can really throw off a camera if you don't meter the light properly). Again, the garbage in the background is distracting to the eye.
I'm assuming by how you're talking about the pictures, that number 5 is you in the photo. Again, a case of the mountainside syndrome in this picture. However, again I see the artistic approach you are using. The only gripe I have about the picture is that your feet are cut out of the photo (this is assuming you wanted a full body shot). If your photographer would of brought the camera down just a tad, this would be a perfect photo as well.
Number 6 in your second photo post is a great composition. However, it lacks clarity. To the person who has no clue what AMG is, I think they'd be confused by the photo due to the fact that the logo is upside down. I really like what you tried to do though.
Number 7 is odd. I honestly don't know what you were trying to take a picture of. The roof popped up? The car is a tad dirty (which could be cleaned up just fine in Photoshop), and the tassels hanging from the mirror are distracting. Other than that, the only thing I can think of that you were trying to do is maybe show off the bokeh of your lens (the way the camera blurs the background).
Number 8 has a serious problem with white balance. The ground is overexposed to the point of detail being lost. This is also evident in the trees. You see on the big trunks a lot of the bark is blinded by overexposure. The problem I see with this photo is that you were working with two highly different contrasts; the dark color of the car, and the direct sunlight on the ground. Next time you come across a shot like this that you want to take, learn how to use (if you don't know how to already) the exposure lock on your camera and point it toward the ground of the license plate of the car. This will even out the exposure of the picture and will result in a better photo. The mountain-side syndrome in this picture looks pretty good too. Again, it's because your main subject is only the car.
Not a bad start dude. Again, take my advice and comments with a grain of salt. I'm not replying to your thread to offend you. I'm doing so to show you my opinion of what to do better the next time you shoot a round of pictures with these same elements. Best of luck to you, your car, and your photography skills.
