Great New Shots of the Blue Cav!
Friday, December 23, 2005 1:41 PM
2005 was very kind to me - I never thought I would get as much done to the Blue Cav as I did. Finally got a day here in the 50's so I washed her up one last time before it's too cold to do it. If I can get as much done in 2006 as I did this year, I'll literally be done in less than 2 years I think...Anyway, enjoy the tour and Happy Holidays! -Steve

Custom painted rear bezel, CF rear emblem and dual Magnaflows w/ Chrome Camaro tips

Upgraded to Konig Verdict 18s this year - wife got the old 15" Verdicts

A couple shots of the engine bay - plenty of RKSport CF and a few custom CF pieces that I made. Also added strut tower caps and the tower bar this year

A shot of my custom magnetic hood inserts...can't figure out why no one bought any!

Perforated aluminum mesh and my CF front emblem

Just a couple more basic shots

My Christmas present to myself! 2 10" JL Audio subs w/ new JL Audio amp. That gives me 14 speakers total - sounds like a choir of angels but I'll be paying for it until spring...note the magnetic trunk inserts.

yada yada...side view

Interior shot - I have actually done a TON of interior mods this year, mostly LEDs and switches. As you can see, I am not a painter. I MIGHT paint the radio bezel arrival blue next year but I kinda like the Graphite/CarbonFiber/Billet thing I've got going on. You should see this thing at night, hopefully one day I will get a camera that can handle night shots...

My latest toy - the CF fuel door

Everyone hates my roll call but I love it. I actually have all of these products - I am just waiting for a part to be released by Sirius and I'll have both satellite systems.

Any and all comments welcome! Let me know what direction to take next year. PLEASE don't say that you do not like this product or that product that I use or to get rid of the damn roll call, because its stayin'

Thanks!

Steve

not a fan of the carbon fiber fuel door. but i think the mufflers look really sweet on there, and im not usually a fan of that style tips. i like the hood inserts too. but i have a sunfire and i would want the chrome too.

I'll probably get rid of the roll call once I get a little further down the road with the car's development. We'll have to see what the future brings. I took it off last year and I really hated it without it.
Look at it this way: At least I actually use those products and at least I have the decency to do them all one color and straight!

Thanks guys!

I really like what you did with the rear bezel. that is one thing that i really dont like about the stock cavs. the carbon fiber is cool as hell . i think that i like your engine bay more than mine. i have the c/f engine cover you can check it out at www.cardomain.com/ride/1218565 i like the look of polished aluminum against carbon fiber.

Hi,

Not sure if I understand the muffler question, but here is what the guy did. He replaced all of the stock exhaust tubing all the way back to the cat. There is an 18" or so length of pipe from the cat to another length of pipe shaped like a "Y". The dual mufflers are welded to this pipe. Hope that helps!

I wish I could help you out with finding the fuel doors - I got mine in a trade with another JBO member. I think he got his on eBay for around 80 bucks. I know I saw a thread recently where someone was gonna start making them again...

And I know I wont win many races with an auto tranny but I don't really race anyway and I drive in a LOT of traffic every day. A manual would freakin kill me. I like the "luxury" of auto.

Thanks,

Steve

I just hope it's not a grocery list for thieves...

That's the part that bothers me about it - it's sort of an advertisement to come steal my $#@!.

But its either in the garage or right next to my front door and my dogs have excellent hearing.

I can have my assault Mossberg pointed out my front window within about 20 seconds of hearing them bark.

Steve, glad you like the fuel door, It looks hot on your car and complements everything else nicely. I am very happy with my end of the deal as well, although i havnt installed anything yet since the cav is currently down. For anyone else wondering about the door I picked it up on ebay for around 80 dollars. Overpayed probably but I didnt see too many other people on the org here with it. My car looked like a cow with it on but as you can all see it looks nice on Steves car. Props to Steve too for shipping his parts out priority, in great packing condition, and without even hesitating shipped the products out. I got a cf gauge bezel, and cf door inserts out of the deal which are of great quality too. If your lookin for parts deffinitly talk to Steve. Great guy to deal with, very easy to talk to. Cars looking hot, cant wait to see what the future brings.

I'm gonna grab me a set and mount CF centers on them with silver icons printed. Not that I'll have the money to do it for awhile...
damn I hate being out of money at the same time I need like 20 mods...

The rear end looks really sweet! You pulled it off with the 03-05 tails. RK's lip kit is a good choice.

I would paint handles and mirrors in body color and lower it even more close to tucking.
The CF gas door kinda looks out of place.

Other than that it looks really good.

Keep up the good work!

p.s. - did u get my latest email with some pictures?
