Um, i would think that painting your reservoirs black, would defeat the purpose of being able to see if they al low or full.
Oh, and you did you fake stainless steel braided hose covering wrong.
But other then that, nice.
^ Way to be a prick.
I think it looks good. Keep it up!
I said it looks nice, yesh.
where can i get those resivoir covers?!
OMG, you think because she paints them she wont be able to tell if there full or not?!
1. If she doesnt have brake fluid shes gonna know.
2. If she doesnt have coolant, shes gonna know.
3. And if she does wanna check them, I am sure she knows how to twist the cap off.
Sorry.
I think it looks amazing! Cant wait to see what it will look like with the Valve Cover and resivoirs painted!
looking good as always...classy!
Wow everythings so clean. Nice!
damn i thought my engine bay was clean......
J TO ENVY wrote:@ El Fuego ( the unstable ): As Jay stated, I know how to twist the caps off the check the fluid. I may be a girl, but I'm not stupid. It doesn't take a genius to figure out whether or not you need fluid.
First off, the hose kit is all metal. The package it came in was heavy as all hell so I don't know where you get off saying it's fake. It's the same kit that a lot of hot rodders use on their cars. Second, how exactly did I do it wrong? I drained the coolant, removed the hoses, slid the covers onto the hoses, replaced the hoses, put clamps on the ends of the hoses, slid the covers over the clamps and put the coolant back in.
Gee... thanks .
@ ScreamSayonara|aranoyaSmaercS: No kidding! Thanks !
@ El Fuego ( the unstable ): Yeah, you said it looked nice after bashing pretty much the entire engine compartment !
@ Phlatcav: Contact Clayton "LIVID" Bell.
@ Jay: Thank you Jay ! By the way, I know I had asked you for the steps you took to paint the reservoirs earlier, but I am retarded and somehow misplaced them. Do you think you could send me an email or something with the directions? Thanks so much. Your engine compartment is my inspiration, subtle and clean !
@ laz2447: Thank you very much ! That's exactly the look I am going for.
@ mahcmos: Yeah, I am very anal about keeping the car clean . Thank you !
@ 97cavy22: .
I didnt even look to see you were a girl, but that still that holds no regard, im not going to not give MO because you are a girl.
I have had the same covers, and for $40 they are still crap. Real steel braided hose is very expensive and its not a cover. And all the stainless steel covers are all metal. DUH!
Directions state to cover your hoses with masking tape, then slide the cover over it. WHY the masking tape? Because it doesnt screw up the weave, and the stainless steel covers have the tedency of wairing out the hoses quicker, since it moves with the engine.
Oh, yes you could twist off the cap, but That means your gonna have to look every time you go somewhere. Because it would sux for you to not know your brakefluid was low, try to suddenly stop to avoid an accident, And you dont stop.
Or causing damage to your engine not knowing your coolant was low? Well your gonna say the idiot lights right? Well they only tell you when its bone dry. By that time, you have already done damage.
Its a logic thing.
That and i know from experiance, this is how i learned my logic and a lesson.
I wasnt being mean, its just oppinion, if you dont like it, dont ask for one.

It's still colored wire loom: a hideous bi-product of the Fast and the Furious Movement.
Stainless steel & even silicone hose covers are a classier choice in my opinion.
