A brief history:
A few months back i decided it would be a good idea to paint my dash bezel to go along with the rest of the interior. After some headaches, getting pissed off, and getting flat out annoyed---it is finally done. Some of you may recall the post I made about this in the interior forum back in July:

Reading that post, you'll see I was really angry.
So anyway, after some more sanding and praying that it came out ok, i think it actually did come out pretty good. Judge for yourself:
I don't have the cigarette lighter socket in yet coz I broke it taking it out and I have to fix it. And the switch right next to that is for my amplifier.
And I know the carpet is dirty, but I am in the process of moving and have no time to clean it up.
Rattle cans own all!
Looks real good, wanna do mine blue?

um, did you read my other post?!? j/k though, but no thanks.
I also broke off that cig lighter thingy... onpurpose tho.. dont smoke, and if i have to, i use the other one by passenger feet..
i didnt like the hole there, so i got out a hole saw and did this...
NICE, looks VERY GLOSSY!
I got rid of my lighter hole completely.
Yours looks ALOT GLOSSIER than mine, nice work.
looks like you did a very nice job

i hate painted dashes w/a passion, but yours looks nicer than most very glossy, good stuff.
In my other post, some people told me to put the clearcoat on thick and that would get rid of some of the cloudiness in the color. So, I did 2 coats outside and the second coat got cloudy (I got pretty scared at this point). So, I brought it into the basement, put a fan in the door blowing outside, and put like 3 heavier coats on it and it came out looking like it does. Only problem I have now though is that I have to redo the other stuff I have painted to make it as glossy.
Thanks for the comments though guys. Good to see the headache that went into this was worth it.

as soon as I get done moving, it will be cleaned out for sure.
my cigarette lighter scares me... I don't smoke, but while I was just hanging out with a friend one night he needed a light so I jumped into my car pressed in the cig lighter and sat there chatting waiting for it to heat up..... Well apparently when my cigarette lighter is ready, it doesn't just pop out some, it decides to fly out of the socket towards you. The red hot lighter flew at me and fell between the driver seat and the console. I burnt my hand trying to get it out, all while smelling my carpet burning.
Oh and for everyone that posted dash pics, they all look good.
I work on Wall Street, but didn't force you to take out a loan you couldn't afford.

I had that happen in my old Cavy. My new one didn't even come with the cigarette lighter--just a plug)
