Ok, so my car's been in my possion and what not for 3 weeks now. It's not the best looking 1997 LS4door you'll ever see, but its a $1500 beauty. lol.
The last one I was sitting at Rallys waiting on food when i noticed it, so i had to get a shot with the car and sign. Then I got inspired to go take pics of the car in good location.
what i've done:
Meguires Next Gen paste wax
Flat Blacked the steelies
215/60/14 tires
JVC cd player and sirius tunner
Pioneer speakers (OEM size)
Removed head rest because I love the low back look.
Not a bad start I don't think. I love my car and can't wait to get wheels and what not on it.
...
Lookin good stenger! Great scenic shots too, kentucky is just great this time of year isnt it? Oh and I LOVE the last shot haha
It's a four banger, you gotta bang it four times to get it goin'....
haha nice.. slam it on coilovers, drop a 2.4/5 speed, an turbo it... now thatd be sick

its only 3 weeks old, and screw the hub caps... that cost extra money.
i already have a 2.4 its just an auto.
and um, yeah, the scenic ky views rock.
things to come are:
Air ride
Wheels
body kit or 03-04 sunfire gt front swap
carbon fiber fenders and hood, also trunk lid
soon the handels attena hole (since there isn't one) and trunk lock are being shaved.
...
btw. i'll never ever put coil overs on any of my cars. i hate the way they ride.
its either air, or lowering springs. not coil overs.
...
the ride can be like stock if you want it to it depends on how you adjust them and the shocks you use.
Im a level 32 joedm newb flamer.
Not a bad start.
You need to do the rear window mod, were you pull the window stop out of the rear doors, so the rear windows go all the way down.....

whats wrong w/ coilovers? what car did you ride in that you didnt like them? my guess is it was a half assed job w/ @!#$ coils.
i've been in a numerous amount of cars with coils.
some perfessionally done, some amaturely done, some with top line everything, others with low budget parts. although you can pound it on its nuts, it still don't do it for me. just never cared much for the ride. or the poping that accurs on some.
we all have our preferences, and since im a mini-trucker at heart, air is the way for me.

You have more desire than anyone I have ever met to build one bad ass cavalier. I know yer car is gonna freakin rock when it's done and I can't wait to see it!
looks as the same as my car exp i have 2 doors lol i really like the color alot thats why i got my car in that color.
ok my first sugestion to you is read and learn, you need to.. I'm sitting here laughing at coilover comments, you liek the way springs ride but not coilovers.... IT IS A SPRING, the only differece is you can adjust where the spring sits, and profesionally installed doesn't mean its done right or with a proper setup neither does saying top of the line suspension.
Not bad man. A good base to start with
Love the last pic, lol!
coil overs have never felt and rode as nice as basic springs to me.
and megg, when we gonna take your car out and get some good photos of it?
im basicly working with a blank slate here. the car was stock when i bought it and i had a newier 2.4 t/c droped in to replace the blown 2.4
my birthday is in 2 weeks so im treating myself to a 2 1/4 inch cat back exhaust. so theres my next mod.
a header and intake is soon to follow that.
then maybe wheels or carbon fiber goodies. idk yet.

yes, you need to do that!
I work on Wall Street, but didn't force you to take out a loan you couldn't afford.
Pretty! Much better than the Mopar, but still not as nice as the 2G!
@ springs- I'll back up Stenger on this one. This is alot more difference between coil-overs and stock or lowering springs than just being able to adjust ride height. Think about rates and lengths, both of which can be changed with coil-overs. And your typical, off the shelf coil-over kit has much stiffer spring rates than any lowering spring.
I like the speed limit sign in the first one. I find it very hard to stay under that. Hell it's hard to stay under 60
