So The Other Matt, myself and a few of my friends went to Bandimere yesterday for the HS Drags. I took the Cav just for grins to see what times I could make. And frankly, itd be quicker to walk I think...
Anyway, on to the pics!
Yes my ET was 18.75...In my defense though, Im still rocking my subs, my spare, its 95 degrees out, and we are a mile above sea level...Not to mention my car is slow. But on that run I did break out and pulled an 18.2.
I think Matt's best time was 18 flat.
During the second run we talked them into letting us line up against each other which was really cool.
I had him for a good 3/4 of the track, then his car (being the 2.4) just overpowered mine and took it.
My buddy Nick's 56 Chevy. His best time was a 15.8
And my friend Jason who managed a 17.5
Had a real blast!
Now wait for Matt to post excusing his times to the death...

Wait, a Z24 could only get a 18 flat at best in a 1/4 mile? I know its thin air and all, but I'm hoping my Ecotec is a lot better than that. It sure feels like it.

stock for stock, 5 speed to 5 speed, the 2.4 would win..... it comes down to driver
looked like fun.. going to the track is always a blast, even if you pull horrible numbers.. its still a rush!!
That is pothetic. Are both of your cars auto? Did you turn off the A/C when you went down the track? A coworker of mine has a 98 Sunfire 2200 5 speed and he runs a 17.9 sec pass.

ok first off...no im not in high school anymore...im 20 lol but i got in anyways
i had my subs in the back of my car still ( really heavy)
i have a clogged cat and still sportin the stock exhaust ( stil have the new exhaust on my bedroom floor lol)
next time i will have my new exhaust on and ill strip some weight
should turn out alot better than an 18 flat
