Hey everyone. In case anyone was wondering what happened to me I thought I should post some pics of some progress I've been having in the past 2 months. I'm still around just been working alot, and living up the rest of the summer before school starts again (tomorrow
).
Anyways the CavFire is going through some big changes for next season and I'm going to keep it semi quiet for now until the winter season comes and goes.
I will be going with a carbon fiber and blue theme, I am parting out all the white from the car. Some may say do it and some may say don't do it, I honestly love the white and blue theme, I just want something more aggressive for next season, and something more creative, and I just love the way blue and black go together.

I have spent the past 2-3 months building my new dashboard but I will only post some sneak peaks of what it looks like. I am finishing off the dash by creating a new glove box area to hold my dvd player and ps2

looking good, but why the need for a dvd player & ps2 unless you have 2 monitors to watch a dvd and play ps2 at the same time . . . .

thanks everyone. I have the glove box area wrapped in c/f now, and the first coat was applied. Tomorrow before school I'll apply my 1st flood coat. woot woot, I can't wait.
dnicecavy : well the reason for the dvd player and the ps2 is because at shows I'll have the dvd player working on 3 t.vs, and the ps2 is wired up to 2 more tv.s that I have.
Deputy D Styl3 : thanks man, all projects start off sketchy though...sometimes they can stay that way however, but I aim to insure I get things looking perfect.
Colin: Ya I was thinking the blue kevlar, but hot damn, I just don't have the money for that right now. Perhaps 2007 then
Jay: thanks man, The interior has just most of the basics left. (re-paint white parts black, re-do the headliner and inserts in the door panels, and such, I will start my new back seat delete in the next little while to come, then onto the exterior which will be completely re-done).

Dave Bida: thanks man, but ill be keeping the bc1 kit, but I'll be adding a c/f splitter to it and it will be a bit WIDER *hint hint*
What you got going is gonna be sweet, just like everything else. I'll be waiting to see it done. Gotta represent the cavfires.
I'll hold my comments till i see that dash in person I think.
I like the idea, not sure I like the outcome to be honest, but we'll see...

Zach Hilton : the other side of the dash has a tv just like the passenger side of the dash.
my dash board and center console are one piece now, it is all molded together...it took a little bit of work to install it.
With the cluster being in the middle I had to extend all the wires to the cluster, and I had to re-make all of the hvac tubbing and seal off everything so I wouldn't have air blowing around all inside the dash. Also I had to make sure I could still get enough air power moving to the side vents.

Looks good big poppa, i agree the c/f and black will look hot. never really been to much of a fan of white in some interiors.. Also does this mean your going to get Black Projectors and Black Corners? I like the cluster being in the middle but if u get pulled over try to explain what u were doing.. hes gonna say u were watching TV lol. Also can you wrap your rims in carbon fiber? i've always wondered about it and i know ive seen c/f pattern on rims but im not sure it was real c/f. Hope i didnt ruin a project you had in mind.. I'll be lookin for updates definatly
^ yes I am getting new rims. I still need to pick a for sure kind, I know the style i want however.
19", black 5 spoke, 2-3" dish, and a nice pollished lip. I know rims come in c/f as well, im pretty sure that's just a pattern however.
and yes I have a new set of black projectors on the way as we speak aswell. I'll post pics once i get those on
Okay, well here she is. I've come close to finishing this portion of the dash now. I still need to sand it and give it some clear coat for the final finish. The top of the glove box area where you see the white trim...dont worry that part will be finished up. I'm adding a black trim to the area to give a clean flush finish.

also, the dvd player and ps2 were not placed correctly. so don't mind the fact that it might be slanted slightly.
I also have tape holding it up for now...don't mind that either

again, this piece is not fully completed yet, I still need to trim here and there, and clean up the edges and top portions. This is a rough finish and it is not final. Thanks everyone.
