First Time Posting Pics
Tuesday, August 30, 2005 4:12 PM
I finally went a took some pics of my Z. I guess I'm ready for the comments.

One with my best friend.

I read that some people think that it is normal for the center of the dash to crack. Guess with proper maintenamce, it won't.

Be gentle with the comments. I'm trying to keep the stock look.

i don't think any amount of "maintenamce" will keep the dash from cracking. You've just been lucky. The car looks to be a good place to start.

didn't mean to be a smart ass by misspelling maintenance, that was a typo

My momma says,
Get One Of Those Window covers And
Put it up every time you leave your car
and you will prevent cracking.

Smart momma. Window shade and plenty of Low Gloss Amor-All. That's what has been doing the trick for me every since I bought it brand new. Thanks for the comments so far. Keep them coming.

I haven't met a window sun-shield that protects the front dash piece that cracks. Its too close to the windshield and curved. The shield would have to literally line the windsheild and curve.

On topic, Nice Z. I loved how they looked in the 95-99 years.

Thanks all for the positive comments.

Derek, I have the collapsible 2 piece type of window shade. The only places it doesn't cover is at the top corners. This type just fits between the molding and the windshield. It does overlape in the middle where most of the cracking usually starts. Try to find something like that if you don't have a sunshield and see if that doesn't work better for ya.

Again, thanks to all for the comments.

I don't remember ever seeing a stock steering wheel cover. Especially one that looks like that my friend ditch it.
