THese are the last pics that I have taken of my car while it had bags on it. THey were from the Texas J body meet this year. You can see that the pics are old. I havnt had a computer for months so thats why im posting now.
And this is it this time. Goldlines are on and NO AIR will ever go back on it. I love air ride. I love how my car looked on air. I didnt love how it road are the fact that air lift brand air suck and one popped and another was about to pop. So Im on cut goldines now and may end up on some tein coilovers in the future.
SO anyway. here they are. The last pics I took of my car on bags.

I just went outside and took this one. Notice that even after cutting the front goldlines it still sits higher. grrrrr

that sucks. everyone is gettin' rid of their air ride.
The silver one was supercharged but now is getting full top to bottom redo with turbos.
the blue one.......um......I actualy forget what he did to that one.
What you cant see on the other side is the all origional late model RX7 with only 20K miles and still has the new car smell.

Well thats sucks you have to switch cause it looks damn good all laided out, but I know what you mean with the ride on bags and I dont drive mine everyday so i can only imagine. Well good luck with the new setup

yea the cut goldlines look good i wish they sat like that normally
I would love to keep air on it. But Ive decided to keep it as the daily driver and go crazzy with the truck. A truck has always been my dream and Ive got most of the parts needed to bag it on the way.
I was thinking of keeping them both bagged but sence the easystreet bags Ive got are falling apart they had to come off.

That's because you have a 2.2L I4 OHV. They have been known to sit
higher because of the weight difference in engine size. The Goldline
springs (along with most others) were originally designed for a 2.4,
thus explaining why they warn that 2.2 cars may sit higher in the front.

This car is sweet with the air on! Its sad to see it coming off and the bags is useless now!
But it still looks good without the air! You and we all need to get used to it!
I am sure when u bag your truck. You would be much happier also good luck with your S10 project!

Kevin Richter (KRI)-- Yeah I found all that out after I installed them. I had only seen one post before about these sitting this high on a 2.2. BUt I had seen enough pics of others that sat lower so I figured I would be alright. Wish I hadnt sold my teins to TRD_CAV (poisioncavi)
I cut 1/2 coil off drivers side and 3/4 off pass side to get it down some.
Phewes-- I drug the hitch down flat once and rewelded some plate on it to drag more. BUt When I put shocks on the rear it didnt drop down enough to drag anymore.
All the pics above have the rear shocks. It used to sit lower.

I went to a shop to get a paint quote for the cavy bumper and sideskirts that are chipping. While waiting for the painter to show up I spot this thing sitting there all covered in dust. I asked about it and he said it was his sons but he got a new car. He said he just spent $800 replacing some AC parts and that he would take 2K for it. I jumped on it like white on rice. It does however have 271,000 miles on the 2200 4 banger. But you wouldn't know it driving it and it looks like it has 2 miles on it if you pop the hood. Spotless. Im not worried about the miles. I can pick up a low mile 2.2 for a few hundred bucks. PLus its just my sat night cruiser.

THat is on the Guadelupe (spl) river here in Texas. Between Austin and San Antonio.
People flock to that river by the thousands every weekend to ride the rapids on tubes. Its awesome. I was at a Texas J meet and I left to go find that spot by the river. The others are atop the lake that feeds the river and along side the HUGE arss damn
