Trunklid Update
Monday, July 18, 2005 6:41 AM

It is on I just have to figure out what all I am going to do with the car I am thinking of getting the Xenon Bodykit before I paint it. I am also thinking of building another motor with Forged Rods and pistons for a S/C but I will see how much more money I want to put into the Cavalier.

But Much thanks goes to my Dad for the all of the work that he put into to trunklid he invisioned.

The idea is nice but its too thin... bulk it up a bit like the pro stock .

Nice work!

Too thin, and you should've brought it out to the sides more, i also think you should've brought the wing lower instead of sloping straight up, but hey at least your not keeping a stock trunk lid.....good work as far as thats concerned!

NEW SIG COMING SOON FOR 07'!!!

Way to not give any critisism... Props on all the work, like a few have said it might look better if it was slightly thicker, but overall its a good concept

Thanks for the Compliments and critisism.

I was looking into getting the pro stock wing but after looking at it, I felt that it was to big and bulky IMO.

Yes the trunklid is heavier than stock but you would be amazed on how heavy it is not. Get any trunklid with a big fiberglass wing on it like the prostock wing and it will be comparable to the weight of my trunklid, Belive it or not.

Also on a side note if I would have made the wing "thicker" then it would make it even heavier. Trust me I notice the weight I got rid of my Carbon Fiber Class Glass trunklid w/spoiler built in.

But the biggest plus for me with this trunklid is that nobody else has it. And to keep it stock just makes it look like it is missing something. And when it comes time in the judging lane This mod should pull more points but that is just a bonus for me.

i like it, but i think it comes up too high (nascar style), I prefer them down flat (dragster style). just my preference though.

btw, i think ive seen you driving quite a few times on 70 just out of dayton...in the morning

Yep that would be me driving on 70 I get off of work at 7am from GM Moraine Assembly and head home to Huber Heights.

I like it, like Dan Morrison said "Nascar Style". I agree with you I think the pro stock wing is to big and bulky also.

I am glad that some of you are saying NASCAR style because that was the look that I was aiming for.

yeah .. . . have to agree. It is kinda ugly!! The only thing uglier than the "wing" is your welding job!

just my opinion . . .
