alright, well i finally had some time to knock some things off the list:
lowered the car
put new wheels on
painted drums
took off moldings/badges
right now i just have pics of the drums and some close ups of the wheels... i'll take some more pics of the new stance/wheels/all of it!!
ive supplied the thumbnails so that all can see!!
Comments welcome!!!
the brake drums before:
the brake drums after:
the next on the lis: the front drums:
ewww
here's what i used:
How i did it:
1: take off the wheel (duh)
2: i used the wire bruch to get rid of the rust on the drums.
NOTE: this didnt take me too long since they were too bad, and i didnt scrub till it was smooth...
3. wipe off with rubbing alcohol to get rid of the dust and crud
4. tape off the bolts, and wheel-well and surronding area
5. spray away! NOTE: short, small sprays prolly work best. keeps over spray to a min so its less likely to get on something else.
6. apply however many coast tickles your fancy (i did two light ones)
7. allow dry (dries REALLY fast if you do it lightly)
8. make sure its dry, then put wheel back on
it took me about 1hr and a half to do both rear wheels. that was using the stock jack, walking back and forth to get different things, and taping the trash bags around wheel well. NOTE: if you are careful, you may be able to use the same trash bags more than once, that will save you some time!!!
i am REALLY glad i did this, i know some have taken them off and did them "professionally" but this is good enough for me (i do have to touch up some) but i wont mind having to repaint them every once in a while
comments welcome!! MORE PICS TO COME!!!
THANKS!'
Looks good. About time something changed.
thanks.....and yeah, i know! hahah

Front Calipers you mean
I did the same thing but I primed them first so the rust wouldnt bleed through the paint over time. Its been 2 years (no winters though) and still like the day I did it
Good Job.

Wait, you're saying you're going to paint the DISKS? That's a very bad idea.

I painted my slotted rotors Silver with Engine enamel. It scrapes off the first time you use the pads and doesnt let the rotors rust. It works well.

well i attempted the fronts tonight!!
i decided to do the calipers as well
im kinda mixed on the turn out... the first one i did (not pictured) didnt turn out as good as the second. and you can still see some of the rust, but i dont have that kind of time to sit there with a wire brush or steel pad and scrub it all off.....
on the first one, i used a 1" brush and a TINY brush to get tight spots.... on the second one, i used the tiny brush on the WHOLE THING! it took forever, but turned out better!!
comments are welcome!!!
thanks!!
looks real good. what kind of rims are those
my car is a girl because I describe her as sexy, beautiful, hot. I look at her curves, and I caress her body once a week with various soaps and sponges. Also, I get in and out of her every day.
nice lil change
