American Bass SQ-540 pushing 2 10" TREO subs from a Pansonic head unit
sounds real good now I am just waiting on the Arc Audio door and 6x9s
I always thought it was bad to mount the amp directly onto the box? I dunno though. It looks good!
11.945 @ 113.10
yeah I heard that but now they say in the instructions for this model to mount it vertically with at least a 1 1/2 inch space for the heatsink to breathe
def get it off the box, because it is bad luck with amps that are mounted to the box
mount it to the back of the back seat if you must...but take it off the box ^ ^ ^ ^
ive got my amp mounted on the back of my box but with the a space between them.. washers work good for spacers.

Thanks! I know Sirius is awesome. I have had it for about 3 weeks now and it just keeps getting better. plus this setup hits HARD but with a THD of 0.002% so it is super clean and sounds amazing for both hard rock and techno which is what I primarly listen to.
I think the amp will be fine mouted there. there is at least 1/4 of an inch between the box and amp. and almost 2 inches betweeen the back of the seat and the amp

not enough power for me though
i would try to hide the wires a little better. i agree w/ everyone else. take the amp off the box. do what matt said and mount it to the back of the backseat. thats what i did w/ my phoenix gold amp. theres plenty of room too for the amp to breathe
yea makes it easier for the thieves the can just cut the wires an take the box and amp in one shot

exactyl! ! ! mount the amp on the back of the back seat...bolt it down real good..then bolt your box down and nobody will ever take anything
heres the thing though when you have your box bolted to the car its kinda difficult to grab and run.
plus they would have to bust the window open open the trunk to release the back seat latch then hop in the car then proceed to unbolt it. Ive got mine setup so the amp covers the brackets so they would have to wrip the amp off well actually unscrew it because it cant be wripped off then undo the screws holding the box to the car all while the alarm is making alot of noise in a public place..

You will make some guy really happy when he steals it from you. If you are to mount it like that bolt the box from the inside directly through the trunk with big washers on eather end. It makes thinks a little more difficult

thats not true because the backseat back pops right out.. remember a while ago lenko had his amp bolted to the back of his seat and someone took the entire seat.
