traded in my 98 sunfire 2200 today for a sunburst orange 04 cavy 5spd. its kind of a bittersweet time for me since the fire was the first car i ever owned. many many good times with her but all good things must come to an end at some point. but man, its going to be easy to say goodbye when i'm driving away with a nice ecotec....that thing pulls like hell compared to the ohv!!!
for those of you who dont remember, this is what my sunfire looked like...
and this is the new cavy (i appologize for the nasty cellphone camera image, i will get more when i bring the car home fri)
like i said its an 04 cav with the 2.2 eco (obviously) 5spd...its not an ls but it has the "sport appearance package with the wheels and all that jazz. overall i am extremely happy and i cant wait to actually have a reasonably quick car
Brian
Did u keep the rims? Looks like another Hypsy
b/c everybody with an orange 04 is like hypsy, lol. looks good but if i bought another car it wouldnt be another J.
Like i said on the Ny site...
Do i spy a Yellow GTO in the background?.... Kinda looks like the SUN CHEVROLET dealership... looks like it will be fun.
Sunfire to Cavy, you made the right choice
That's what it was like when I sold my 96 2.2ohv with a 3speed. Car knows I loved it, but then I realized..wait now I have an Ecotec.
*jbj\o
you cock
Another Twin god dammit (not for long hopefully)
of course i love the car
booooooooo....you traitor...going to a cavy and not stick with a sunfire...booooooooo
"All my life I have been trying to figure out who is behind this face of mine"
Grats man, car looks great! Hope you enjoy it.
That's my second favorite cavalier color behind white
haha i knew i'd be upsetting a few 'fires on here. my sunfire was GREAT to me. i beat the living snot out of it since may '01 and i never had a single problem until january when i replaced the starter. it was a good car but i really wanted something a little different.
and yeah dougall...another twin lol...and the worst part is my wheels are silver 6 spokes too! only mine are enkei.
i was looking at some stuff lastnight as far as mods go and i figure i'm probably going with an intake, catback then probably some nice coilovers
Brian
another one has joined up with the dark side.....
hahahahah
congrats on the buy/trade!!!
Enkei RS6s, they should look good on there. At least its still a J-body... He could of bought a .... *Im sorry for saying it... a honduh.
we did the same thing, just opposite. I went from OHV Cavy 3spd. to a Sunfire Eco 5 speed. nice upgrade!

Words that you can't use in modding: Finished, Perfect, Cheap.
Car looks great, Brian--like I said before: LOVE the color. Can't wait to get that puppy into the shop
