updated rear end shaved

well had the day off work today and did alot of work on it. well here are the pics

well here are the body lines shaved looks so much better when they are gone smoother look-




i started to shave the outer tail lights but relized they were very ugly-




inner tail lights shaved and trunk lock gone still gotta get the wing on will update that tomrow molded-



well hope you enjoy the pics let me know what u think about the progress-
will be updated again tomrow gonna do alot more work tomorow

why would you trade your shaved trunk when you just did the same thing? And yeah, do you need a hand picking the kit up?

alright sorry for the post jacking. Just curious how you went about shaving the trunk lid? I'm planning on doing it over the next week or so.

you take the lights off grind down all around the metal where you are goin to weld
but pieces of metal to the shape of the old lights
weld the pieces onto the trunk - grind down all the welds to they are smooth
-use some fiberglass body filler to make smooth then use a small coat of finishing putty to finish the job off then primer
its alot of work but wel worth it

as for the tail lights i desided not to do it i completed one side of them and didnt like the look of it so i took everything that was involved in the outer tails off.. now its back to normal

The rear end is coming alllong very nicely, I hope you aren't JUST using body filler to mold on the spoiler and the plastc pieces above the bumper though.....?

i think it is looking good...but like said above. I hope its not just filler. and yo ucan still see the outline of the tails on the trunk

i urathanded it all together first and used construction adhesive also to conect it all i took a ruber malit to it just to see if it would crack but didnt so its all good... i used fiberglass filler instead of just body filler and used finishing putty for a final over lay

the trunk isnt doen yet still need final work done to it still some bumps

shave the outters too! no reason to do all that custom work and then still have cav tails!!

yah i did one side but didnt like it very much it is more custom work i can say i did on it but it just is so ugly i dont like the way it makes the rear end look... i am looking into tail lights from another car seeing what will work best
