FINALLY FINISHED *almost*-Scenic pics-56k NO WAY
Monday, May 30, 2005 7:44 PM
WELL, the exterior of my car is FINALLY finished~ shaved completely, painted, rims. The only thing I need now are air bags and Baer brakes-- those things I am saving up for. Oh, I also know I desperately need mesh.

It was a pretty out today, so we decided to take a few scenic pictures. The car still needs to be wet sanded and buffed, but I couldn't stand it... I had to take pictures. The pictures are huge~ but I like them that way. They were twice as big as they are here, but I resized them some. Oh well,,, enjoy. Oh, all the work done to this car was done by me and my boyfriend- shaving, molding, painting, everything. Enjoy~!

i like it!!!! nice work on that filler piece on the front, it cleans the car up a lot!

i want my sideskirts done like that too...but i'm too worried about bottoming out and having a huge crack form where it's molded.

overall, nice job! be sure to post when you've got the air and brakes on!!

The side skirts and filler piece in the front were both pains in the butt--- very time consuming. Fortunately, I've never dragged my sides~ only my front. Thanks for the compliments! I'd say it will be a while before I get air and the brakes though. =(

Thanks so much! =) You got to hear me complain about it though-- you know I was goin crazy without my car. I'm just happy to have it back and finally finished.

Nice job on the car. Needs a drop big time, since youre saving for an air ride suspension. You will love it! Its going to finish it off big time. Hurry and save up for the air ride!
I like the color! is it a stock color?

Yes, I cannot wait to get air ride. =) So far I have umm... $0 saved. I keep spending every little bit I save on other stuff...*sigh*.

The color actually isn't stock. My car was factory Cavalier red. I decided on the Cayenne Red color at the last minute... I was going to go with just plain red. Sooo happy I went w/ Cayenne Red instead. The paint I used on my car is very metallic... u can see that in the sun. It's also like two shades darker than stock cayenne red. Can't tell much from the pics though.

i like it a lot
but i think there is too much tweed on your interior, or maybe just too much grey tweed

HOT HOT HOT! I love Cayenne Red, that is a bit darker than the stock cayenne red too, looks great. To be honest, I was skeptical of the tweed at first when you posted a while back about it...but it really looks awesome on there. Hopefully you and your b/f can come out to the next jbok meet and show 'er off!

Thank you! Most people are skeptical about the tweed. I think it will look better once I get the black carpet, black seats, and I get my back seat tweeded black. May break up the grey a lot.

I was skeptical about it too. I wasn't sure if I liked the interior better tweeded or if it would have looked better painted. Now, with the car painted, I am pleased with the tweed. It's something different and it's not seen too often. I am going to try my best to come to the next meet. I would like to meet everyone.

Again with the exhaust I just haven't had the time. Thanks so much for the comments. The interior isn't near finished yet. I may wait until it's finished (who knows when that will be) before I post. I would like to wait at least. Oh, and I am girl btw....

^not sure why that's not working on preview, so I just underlined it bolded it. I'm probably lookin over something.
but anyway....

^ Thank you for pointing that out to people.
I actually like the mirrors better with just that part painted. The black part goes with the trim along the windows which is black. I have to go get mirrors made today for them unfortunately, since we ended up breaking both of them in the finishing process. lol

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone! They're all greatly appreciated because we have worked sooo hard on my car.

Sorry for not responding sooner. Thank you so much for the comment. We worked soooo hard on that front bumper. It's odd how something that litle can be sooooooo time consuming. I'm glad it isn't being overlooked though.

Probably the best comment so far....no complaints at all is wonderful to hear. You're so right about Kentucky. If it wasn't for where I live, I would have lowered it with springs forever ago. Roads here suck....

Call me a weirdo, but I just don't like tint. If I was to EVER get it, I would get really really light tint. But I don't see me getting it anytime soon.

Thanks so much. You could always do a headlight conversion to an 00-02 and get this hood. Wouldn't be any trouble at all. I want your back bumper! lol
