I finally got this to work on my 03 sunfire. Took almost 5 hours and a lot of welding and cutting but it looks good now. I just need to paint it all up and then I will be ready for gmscb. What do you all think?

looks good but did you run a support beam between the 2 arms? if not then it wouldnt be a bad idea to do so

I didn't think of that. It is pretty solid as it is though. I do need to get a bump stop for the arms where I want the deck lid to rest. Right now it just rests on the top of the trunk opening. I will finish this all up on Wednesday.

when you shut it..id imagine it would get a little wobbly...all of the instructions i have seen have said to put a piece of steel or somethin between the 2 arms

does it seal properly when its closed? make sure of that, or your trunk will fill with water.
