wow, all very hot, where the widebody flows into the doors isnt exactly how i would have done it, but thats the point, we all do our OWN thing, and you definately deserve trophies and all the recognition for the insane work, ashley, and as for the 2 fires... VERY beautiful, clean and all around wonderful, this was a good post for me, i had fun checking all these cars out!

thugn$: Thanks for posting the pics up, actually there is a story behind the whole j-body award. I had 6 judges come up to me after the show and they told me that at the last minture the people who put on the show gave 5 other awards that the judges gave me to other people because I would have taken 7 total and people in the show would have complained and not want to come back. The judges said that I was listed to win Best paint, Best interior, Best ICE, Best Domestic, Best J-Body and then the two I won. I can fronted the Person who put it on and he confirmed that i did win all of those awards but they couldn't risk being unfair to others who came to the show. I was alittle mad but i understand.

dang 5 coats!!!!!! jeez no wonder...I put like 2 coats on and im still like wtf???
wayy cool car man....I love what you did to the interior. I wanna redo mine exactly like your such as painting the dash, the doors, etc....But im not to sure on what color combinations I should go with. I dont wanna go anywhere with fiber glassing because unfortunately i do not have much money to work with.....Opinions needed, throw in any ideas . Also, if its not too much trouble, I would like to know which products are the best to use and any tips/steps would be much appreciated.

Thats BS!!! You spend all that time and money on your car and they award people so they dont become crybabies..............doesnt sound fair for you. Sounds like they need to step up the quality of their cars or continue to cry.

I agree w/ FLIP. What would be fair is if they gave you the awards that they said you won. @!#$in sore losers.
BTW Flip, I still want pics of your car!! Even if they are just progress pics....unless you're tryin to keep everything under wraps.

Thats what the judges were yelling at the guy who made the changes, they said it was plain and clear that I put the time and money into my car and no one deserved them over me. But the guy who put it on said that he couldn't make people mad because they wouldn't want to come back, but yeah it chaps my a** but i can't do anything about it and whats bad for the show is Toyo found out and they are the main sponsors of the show so come Edmonton in July things will probably change because they thought it was bullsh*t to not give it to the most deserving car and they loved my car so much I was invited to represent Toyo at those shows and they are working something out with the US Toyo, so it should turn out good even though I still got screwed lol

Dufus Head : Are u talking about wax and cleaning products or how to do your interior?

Well the first time I painted it I just 500 degree spray paint, 500 degree clear coat, and 500 degree primer. I cleaned the surface with hot soapy water and sand it down, then primered, let dry then painted color(2-3 coats depends on how much is needed to cover the factory, then let dry, then clear coat like 3-4 coats($75-100). Thats it or you can paint it with real car paint, just sand like crazy and paint it, after you primer and then finish it and clear (Couple hundred)

what do you mean by 500 degree spray paint, 500 degree clear coat, and 500 degree primer? what about doing the actual dash? Its vinel...would you sand that as well? The thing about sanding is, im worried about leaving alot of grooves and scratches that will show up on the finish product .I'm gonna be painting it to match the outside so ill b using car paint....also what color combinations should i do? black and the orange or what..?

Well the cheap way is spray paint, but yeah you have to sand down what you paint but you have to use a certain sand paper. I'm not sure right now of the one i used. But yeah the dash mine was sanded and then i fibergalssed over the airbag and vents, but you have to sand everything down. Its not hard it just takes time

Its a type of spray paint

QBE: I know, it the front bumper that doesn't line up, who ever made the kit had the center off my less than an inch, i already know that and any other things people want to point out, which i don't care because judges don't catch it and there is nothing i can do about it

most shows i go to they only allow 1 trophy per vehicle to make it fair

example some people dont take a trophy in thier class because they may have gotten best of show , or best interior, best paint, and so forth

i wouldnt exactly call that bad

No by no means, I would rather have Best of Show, but the shows i do like HIN you get what u deserve, if its two then its two but if its 6 than its 6. But its nice to have the Best of Show over the others
