Ok so I bought these new coil over springs on ebay. I am not sure because I have never done this before, but are these springs too small or are they supposed to be this way because they are coilovers? They looked a bit bigger in the picture but on the box it says Cavalier 95-00 and mine is a 98. Please if someone can let me know how this works and if these look normal that'd be great! Thanks!
HAHAHAHAHAHA
being serious..
please sell those right now and DO not put those on you car, they will break more parts than they are worth their weight in gold.. ask meckster about them
..... please
I have the same one as Mecksters...But have no trouble with them whatsoever...and DIRTY ELF...MY CAR...IS LOWER THAT YOURS SOOOO stfu.....Dirty Elf is lowered also but not on these coilovers...but his looks just the same as stock because he got pu$$y size rims...But yes they look just like that and I also got mine on ebay....Im keeping them til it breaks something...until then....oh well....
hey listen to dirty elf. those are @!#$. read the FAQ in the suspension forum. (where this should have been posted in the first place). They look like R1 racing coilovers. just get rid of them. the FAQ will explain y.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I basically wanted to know if the size was correct. I'm gonna take my chance with them since I did pay a good amount for them. I will let everyone know how it pans out.

Return them take it from me I have the same set but with the parts your missing. YOu need top hat bearings form ground control and without knowing people you will not find them easily. Plus yeah they will ride fine for about 3 months then all hell will break loos and your back will suffer and your head form bouncing off the roof. Trust me tkae the hit on the pocket and lower your car right. If you really wanna know how bad they ride jstu come out here and Ill take you on a ride in my car. I used to love diveing my car now i hate to even get in it and back outta the driveway. Oh yeah and have fun catching air off bumps on the highway.

RETURN THEM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! if you put them on i will come to yer house and kill you (no no, i Just kidding)...but seriously...im riding on Ebay coilovers and ebay stock replacement (lowering, hahah riiiiiight)struts....The ride is soo chitty and everytime a girl sees my car they wanna ride in it and then afterwards they never will ride with me again....haha....they SUCK! SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK! ohh and BTW once of my rear struts just blew (oil all over)....ive only had them for like 6 months! But i guess if u dont want to listen to us....have fun replacing parts, haha..learn the hard way buddy.
it sounds like most of the problems seem to be blown shocks/struts which should be changed anyways when replacing the springs. As for those springs they should fit fine just replace the struts soon.
get good struts/shocks and you'll be fine. ive been riding on DropZone coilovers for 3 years now on Koni Reds with no problems.
they suck with stock struts is all i know
maybe im the only one on these boards to ever buy the high spring rate and be satisfied with them. Here is how i see it... If you are planning on driving your car alot, and driving it daily then i def wouldnt recommend a high spring rate coil over, save up and get yourself a set of rksports, or ground controls, or even skunk 2's and the ride will be stiff but not bouncy like the cheaper ones. However if you not planning on driving your car a ton, and are careful about driving it, like dodging pot holes and slowing down over bumps then the cheaper ones can work just fine. Personally i bought a set of arospeeds and have been running on KYB's now for about 2 years with very little problems at all, the only complaint i have is that if you drop them down alot you get the squeeks and the noises out of them, my car is dropped just about all the way and yes it is stiff as hell, and yes it is bouncy, but..... my car handles absolutely incredible and to be honest the ride doesnt bother me all that much unless its a ridiculously bumpy road. Anyways thats just my two cents, you def do get what you pay for, the ultimate suspension costs alot of money, but fully adjustable full true coil overs are the way to go if you really want the best of both worlds.
i bought @!#$ coilovers.

Ummm how is your handeling better when you said it yourself that the car is bouncy you cant control the car better if its bouncing throwing the weight around. Just find that weird that you said it handels better but yet you said its bouncy? How is that handeling better?

lol what does being lower have to do w/ quailty parts. if you wanna play that game, my car is lower than yours so you need to STFU. quit giving people bad advice. there @!#$ coilovers and dont need to be on the car. in the end your going to pay just as much as good coils by the time your done fixing everything
I installed a set of those on a a friends car from work . The top hats broke on all four corners . He ended up going through Ground Control and buying top hats from them ( which were better quality ) .
When it comes to something like this dealing with your suspension and car . Spend the most that you can because it will make a world of difference later on .

dude, you think a website with a bunch of people that know EVERYTHING about cavaliers and sunfires would lie to you about @!#$ty parts?! SELL THOSE THINGS TO SOME OTHER IDIOT! I had those same ones on, they suck a big dick, i had to replace every one of my struts, so shut the FU CK up and dont put that @!#$ on there, DAMN!
what do you mean you paid a lot for them. A decent set of coil overs will cost you about $300.00
Take people advice here and sell them and get a decent pair. Anyone who know anything about a good suspension set up will sell them or throw them out. Those coil overs have no bearing. They are not made for our cars they are just generic coil overs that can be used on any car, the spring rate are going to be to high.

I got a set of coilovers on there that look similar to what you got,...and they work ok for me now. I would recommend what others say on this site and get a good quality setup though. My next upgrade in the near future is getting some shocks and struts. The ride isnt that bad but i only drive about 8 miles to work some days on the highway.....
lol.....i bought some that looked just like those called "racer design".....lets just say i had to beak them to get em off after 3 months of havin em......the springs will not hold up...they will begin to sag then get worse and worse and b4 u know it u are riding on the ground....Get sum eibach pro or sport with koni yellows
you scratch my ride IMA EAT YO CHILDREN
resell them on ebay...OR THROW THEM AWAY!!!!!!!! do NOT GO CHEAP when it comes to your SUSPENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
