They look like regular base models to me. The first one has the eco, the second one has the 2200.

Get the Cavy. Much better engine, and more powerful. That damage is easy to fix.

Looks like the Sunfire has tires on it that are way too small.

you sure the sunfire isnt a unbadged gt, i mean it does have the dual tipped muffler

or is it only the cavaliers 2.4s that had the dual tip?

If the sunfire was a gt, it would have the dual exhaust and a completely different front bumper.

If that cavy has the eco in it, where are the z24 badges? shaved? It would also have the stock sideskirts I believe.

All 2003+ Cavaliers and Sunfires have 2.2L Ecotec engines in them, not just Z24 and GT models.

the sunfires rims are chipped.

I wouldnt buy either unless its under 1000, because by the time you fix it you could have bought a new one for a little more and it wouldn't be a scratch n dent

Mine came with a dual tip muffler, and mine is a 2.2. All depends on price really. THat cavy is pretty messed up. It needs a new hood, front bumper, fender, serious work to the quarter pannel, and a new tail light. About 1000 or more in damage. The sunfire appears to be near perfect condition. SO what if the rim is chipped, u can always replace one rim a lot cheaper than all the damage cost on that cavy. Personally, and it is not a bias opinion, cuz i really like the new cavy's, id get the sunfire, just cuz it has no damage. But then again is depends on what they have that cavy marked at.

You guys have to remember its not easy getting a car like that over seas. So for him the Cavy is one heck of a find. Get the cavalier you will be much happier. I bet it has less miles, and it just that much better of a car between the two. Newer ever thing.

cav isnt that bad of a fix at all. i would imagine that the sunfire is a much more rare car though.....and it needs no work. so i dunno.....its your choice i guess.

but just out of curiousity, is the sunfire labelled as a pontiac?

The Sunfire is £2500 and the Cavy is £3950.

What are the specs regarding performance/hp etc on these cars?

It may be easier to have a Cavy with a kit shipped over?

Feel Free to call me a moron... But I thought in Jolly-Old england people drove on the left .... Making all the cars right hand drives.... And those 2 are both left and drives.... Humm I thought you could buy R/H drive J-bodies over there...

The cavy with the ecotec is like 140 hp and around 130 tq. (I think)
Where as the sunfire if its a 95-97 with the 2.2L is rated at 120 hp and 135 tq where as the 98+ 2200 motor had different lifters so it was rated at 115hp and 140tq.. But that is what gm claims , I'm sure if you put both of those cars on a dnyo you would be lucky to throw down more than 90 hp..
Also the sunfire is a old iron block 8v push-rod motor which is more at home in a forklift. And it was designed like 37 years ago. Plus it's a real pain in the ass to get power out of it.. But it will last forever....... good luck killing it...
The CAvy has 16v dual overhead cams, its a new motor with new technology plus it will be faster..also beaing cheaper/easier it get more power out of it...

go Cavy..and thorw down and a C/F hood and a dope body kit..

What's wronge with stock..?

course problem with the cavy is he would have to import parts to fix it which can be expensive
