somethin i was goin to ask everybody... since ive went THIS FAR with the stuff.. shouldi just blow another 150 bucks to get a soundstream linedriver.. ive heard they hurt u and help u... i dunno what to do where im not competing and stuff for SPL.. i dunno if i need one.. but i know they step ur line voltage up to as much as 13.3V to the RCA PRE-OUT to the sub amplifier which will be my 1700D...
and another thing maybe u all can help me out with i mostly listen to trance/rave/club techno and thats mostly is whats goin to be played in the system is there anyway i can find out... or maybe u all know how i can tune my amps u know like the frequencies to be tuned to play the best during trance songs.. like thats all that music is is just ear shattering highs and redundant hits of the same bass line.. im goin to put the box im building for the wall im going to port to hit at 32HZ for soundquality.. and to hit LOWWWWW im talkin i want it to rip someones head off in there... but i dont wanna pull numbers like i said im goin to be competing DRIVE BY tho.. i wanna sound LOUD AS HELL on the outside of my car.. lol
OH OH!!! and a BIG SUPRISE for all u guys out there..... the WING IS OFF MY CAR.. i had it took off and had the holes filled and painted ALONG with having the keylock on the truck shaved AND the antenna shaved... well i think ive asked enuff questions.. help me out guys.

its gonna be loud....but i wouldnt have gone with 15's if you listen to trance/techno, they have really quick beats n burps to them, and the 15s are NOT going to like moving like that, and most likely will sound bad...but its hard to say, if you get your amp set right, and the right box, you might be able to get them to sound decent, as for the line driver i would say not to get it and see how it all works out without it..whats the preout volts on that pionner 4? 8?...and i have soundstream speakers in my car and they are the loudest/clearest speakers i have ever heard

as far as the 15's go. as long as you have them crossed over properly they will play as fast as you need them. tuning the box at 32hz will help that, and ther shouldnt be any issues with transient respone. the only time a 15 can't keep up with the music is if you are playing it into the midbass region, or at least up into the 100hz range, wich you shouldnt be anyway.

as for the line driver, i wouldn't worry about it. line drivers were big when head units had a volt or less output to the rca's, now that most headunits have 4volts or higer, they are becoming less and less of an issue.

as for tuning the sound, thats going to come down to whatever tuning options you have from the headunit. for me it comes down to accuracy and not the type of music you listen to. if your system is accuratly playing rock, it should accuratly play country or rap. i say set everything up and tune it the best you can. if you still can't get it to where you like it, then looking at adding something to get more serious. i'd suggest something in the 14 band range. unless youve had allot of time tuning systems going more then 14 bands can generally cause more damage then it can help. unless you have someeone experienced in tuning to help.
